Lehi will be looking to three-peat as state champions this fall, and Latu will be key in their efforts to do so. He’s exceptional in the open field, where he makes defenders look slow. Latu is a home run-hitting back who explodes through holes for six. He has good vision and always finds cutback lanes if they become available. Latu is also strong in the passing game, where he can run multiple routes and does an excellent job following his blockers on screens. Latu loves to run over defenders and can break through arm tackles consistently. He also excels at picking up blitzes, making him a true every down and situation type of back.

Some quarterbacks struggle when plays break down, but not Thatcher, who thrives under pressure. He does a great job avoiding pass rushers to buy his receivers time to get open downfield. Thatcher can make accurate throws on the move consistently and does a good job placing the ball where only his intended target will have a chance at it. He has a powerful arm and can rifle deep passes off his back foot. Thatcher is willing to stand in the pocket and take a shot in order to make a play for his team. He does a good job going through his progressions and avoids locking onto one receiver.

Swain is one of the class’s slipperiest backs. On numerous occasions, each game defenses look to have him dead to rights, but Swain finds a way to get past them. His contact balance is exceptional and allows him to stay up after taking hard hits. Swain does an excellent job tip-toeing the sideline to stay in bounds and always keeps his feet moving to try and get every extra yard he can. He’s incredibly shifty and constantly crosses up defenders in the open field. Swain possesses exceptional vision and follows his blockers for great success.
