This year over 200 players participated in the showcase at Harding High School in Charlotte, NC on a Thursday Night. Let’s take a look at the top Wide Receivers from the showcase.
Louis Howie – South Pointe (SC) (MVP) – Howie is a physical 6’2 wide receiver who can win jump ball battles in 1 on 1 situations easily. He has been a varsity starter and is expected to have a strong senior year. Howie also has good speed to create separation and strong hands to catch contested passes in traffic. He fits well on the outside as a primary receiving target in an offense.

– Shelby – Eli is in the Class of 2025, and recently just picked up an offer from Wingate University, who was in attendance at the HBCU Carolinas Showcase. At 6’3 and 185 pounds, Eli has good speed and can win 1 on 1 battles versus corners in man coverage. Eli shows very good route running ability and catches the ball away from his body with strong hands.
Sincere McIntyre – Independence – A Class of 2023 prospect, Sincere has some impressive speed and projects as a slot receiver on the next level. He played a big role in the Patriots strong season last fall, and has an offer from Louisburg.
Kelson Tate – North Mecklenburg – A 2026 prospect, Tate has shown some explosive abilities with the ball in his hand from the slot WR position. He is 5’7, and can also contribute in the running game from the slot, as well as a kick return threat. He will be fun to watch over the next couple of years.
Tylique Aldridge – Forestview – Another explosive athlete here out of the 2025 Class. He has impressed at some other camp opportunities so far this summer. He will operate primarily out of the slot as well. He displays excellent footwork on his releases and shows great speed in the open field.
Reggie Daniel – Mountain Island – Daniel showed that he belongs in the conversation as one of the better overall athletes in the Charlotte Metro – he also can play defensive back. In the 2024 class, Daniel recently picked up an offer from Johnson C. Smith University, who was in attendance at the HBCU Carolinas Showcase. At 6’3 and 170 pounds, I expect more college interest to come his way.

– Butler – Cameron has impressed at previous showcases, showing excellent ability to high-point the football in 1 on 1 situations, as well as good speed to win versus DBs in man to man coverage. Cam has an offer from UNC Pembroke, and should continue to receive more college interest in his senior year, from the 2024 class.
AJ Jenkins – Harding – AJ is one of the most explosive athletes in the 2024 Class – at 5’10 and 190 pounds, he can play at Wide Receiver or Defensive Back. He has a special ability to make some acrobatic catches and turn simple plays into big plays with the ball in his hands.
TJ Griffin – Myers Park – A class of 2025 prospect, TJ has some great size at 6’2, and was very good during the 1 on 1 portion of the showcase. He shows great body control in running his routes, and high points the football well in jump ball situations. He can also play some defense, so it will be interesting to see where he ends up focusing his talent going forward.
