Listed below are players who are ready to take the next step and begin to establish themselves as collegiate-ready talents and rake in the offers from across all divisions.
ATH Wyatt Brown Wyatt Brown 6'1" | 195 lbs | ATH Perryville | 2024 State AR Perryville
Wyatt Brown Wyatt Brown 6'1" | 195 lbs | ATH Perryville | 2024 State AR (6-0, 195), is a threat to any offensive backfield. While lining up as an edge rusher he shows quickness off the snap and the ability to be a sure-handed solo tackler when making tackles for loss. While he has shown his strengths as a rusher on the line, Brown says he is making the switch from edge to linebacker his senior season. With his height to cause disruptions across the middle of the field and already tenacious approach, I believe the switch will be seamless for Brown. As a tailback on the offensive side of the ball, Brown exhibits his 4.74 speed by busting gaps and ripping off lengthy runs. Brown has recently received an offer from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas.
ATH Katrevion Thomas Mineral Springs
Katrevion Thomas (6-1, 185), simply put, is a player, this kid gets it. He has the ability to contribute at the next level on both sides of the ball as a running back and linebacker. As the main ball carrier for Mineral Springs, he has incredible patience behind the line with a quick acceleration of speed to create quick havoc in the holes. The vision Thomas has is impeccable, he has no issues identifying and attacking the cutback lanes that open up through the second level of the defense to all for long runs. To compliment his patient, quick-running style Thomas will also show his knack for creating yards after contact. As a linebacker in 2022, Thomas had an incredible season, he recorded 101 tackles with 54 of those being solos and 10 being tackles for losses.
S Brayden Hull Poyen
With a lengthy 6-4, 173-pound frame Brayden Hull instills a strong presence at the safety position in the defensive backfield. His length will definitely come into play while using this to high-point interceptions and cause some incredible pass break-ups. With his 4.5 speed, he rarely finds a wideout that will beat him deep, much less a receiver who can top his length on 50/50 balls.
RB Jalen Jointer Maumelle
A perfect combination of patience and pain is how you could describe Jalen Jointer’s (5-10, 197) running style. He is a true punisher with the ball, not taking lightly any oncoming defender who is willing to take him on one on one. Jointer will lower his shoulder with the best of them and cause havoc with his collisions. Jointer will take his time behind the line as holes begin to open and will use a quick twitch of his body to make adjustments through the openings and punish backers on the other side. It truly takes a village to get his guy to the turf.
RB James Martin James Martin 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Bryant | 2024 State AR Bryant
A running back deserving of quality looks by collegiate coaches, James Martin James Martin 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Bryant | 2024 State AR (5-10, 200) is the full package. His specialty seems to be getting small through holes and making himself near impossible to tackle, he has the ability to become a very slippery ball carrier. He runs extremely hard and loves the contact that playing running back brings, he doesn’t shy away from the hits or collisions instead he welcomes and embraces them. His back and jump cut abilities are superb in opening running lanes and creating his own yardage.
WR LJ Robins LJ Robins 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR Greenwood | 2024 State AR Greenwood
You will see this guy playing on Saturdays someday, it’s just a question of who for. LJ Robins LJ Robins 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR Greenwood | 2024 State AR (5-11, 165, 4.49 40) is an incredible athlete who has had early success in his high school career. In a combination of his junior and sophomore years, he has tallied 155 receptions, 1,948 yards, and 21 touchdowns. Robins’ agility is absolutely off the charts and that is attributed to his exceptional footwork. He is a very high IQ player and understands how to move and read the body language of defensive backs in order to put himself in positions to be successful in his route patterns.
LB Derrick Murdock Derrick Murdock 5'11" | 190 lbs | LB Little Rock Southwest | 2024 State AR Little Rock (Mills University Studies High School)
This is your atypical tone-setter on defense. Derrick Murdock Derrick Murdock 5'11" | 190 lbs | LB Little Rock Southwest | 2024 State AR (6-0, 200) is a player who obtains killer instincts that just aren’t coachable. During the 2022 season, Murdock achieved 111 tackles, 52 tackles for loss, and created 16 sacks. The closing speed he has in the backfield is special, very rarely will a ball carrier find any success once Murdock enters the picture. In addition to creating his own havoc in the backfield, his speed is a mismatch for most offensive linemen. Murdock also understands how to be successful in sustaining and maintaining the boundary lines and keeping his outside limbs open and free to limit traffic to the outside of the box. He is a very versatile player as he can be lined up on the line and has the ability to take reps as a linebacker also, his speed and length would most definitely play in the second level of any defensive unit.
