Here we will list some of the best 2 for 1 players in the Houston area who have shown that they can take care of business in the trenches as key blockers as well as be threats in the passing game and creating big plays for their teams. At this position players are asked to do a lot and the ones listed have gone above and beyond to make sure their teams are put in the best positions to win. This class has some ballers who will be talked about much this summer and heading into the season so keep eyes open for them.
Cole Snodgrass
Cole Snodgrass
Snodgrass is a massive target and a deep threat for his quarterback. He has the ability to move wide and take advantage of a smaller matchup, or line up in the slot and use his athleticism to get by linebackers. Snodgrass high points the ball with great physicality and shows strong hands. He goes and gets the ball rather than wait on it. He moves well, getting out of breaks like a receiver and uses his body to box out defenders trying to get PBUs. Snodgrass is an aggressive blocker who shows pride in driving defenders into the ground. He it the ultimate mismatch on the field who can take over when targeted.
Dunbar looked to be the safety valve for his quarterback last season. Lining up in the slot, Dunbar was the receiver of many pot passes and quick throws down the seam. Dunbar showed no fear in the middle of the field, getting right behind linebackers and bracing for hits from the safeties. Dunbar played a big role in the run game as well, sealing the edge and working his way to the second level off of combo blocks. He was a great mixture of being an extra lineman and a reliable weapon for his quarterback to make positive plays.
Jordan Washington
Jordan Washington
Washington is a vertical threat in the passing game with the ability to take the top off of secondary. His long strides get him down the seam in a hurry and he plays the 50/50 balls very well, using his size as an advantage. Washington plays as another receiver, showing very good athletic ability and run after catch. He is physical in the run game, leading his back through running lanes and sealing the edge when needed. Washington is a player to lookout for having a breakout season next year. He got his name out there from his play last season and expect him to be busy this summer and heading into the season.

If you are looking for a physical, do-it-all tight end, look no further because Stevens is your guy. He is nasty at the point of attack, driving linebackers back, but can also slip out and turn a screen into a touchdown. He gets into the mix when asked to block, leading the way for running backs and moving defenders out of the way. Stevens shows great concentration on catches, securing the ball then getting good YAC. He serves as a great safety option for his quarterback and does everything to get a positive play. Great play from Stevens and expect even more from him next season.

Jadon Garza Jadon Garza 6'4" | 230 lbs | TE Lamar- Houston | 2024 TX -Pender
Garza-Pender serves as a primary blocker from the H-back position in the offense but shows excellent receiving skills when his number is called. He has confident hands reeling in throws smoothly and shows some skill running after a catch. When it comes to blocking, he knows what it takes to help his teammates get extra yards. Garza-Pender gets under pads and drives players back. His long arms get a grasp of defenders and he is taking them for a ride. He creates space for runners and when engaged, defenders show little success breaking free.
