Ridley is an exciting player to watch. He is a guy who can effortlessly make catches and has no problem adjusting to balls that are thrown off target. Ridley is very tough for opposing teams to guard as he shows the ability to haul in catches with a defender all over him. The body control he shows is excellent and he has now problem creating separation on in-breaking routes. DeWitt is a well coached football team that utilizes many different formations on offense. I guarantee next year they will go shotgun with three-wide quite often to try to get the ball into Ridley’s hands as much as possible.
#3 Evan Walker Evan Walker 5'10" | 145 lbs | ATH Waverly | 2024 State MI | Lansing Waverly | 2024 | Hudl
Walker is explosive with the football in his hands. You can tell every time he touches it he is looking to take it to the house. I love his ability as a kick returner. You could tell that other teams were scared to kick it to him as you saw a lot of squib kicks and kicks that were away from him. Walker has good hands and can go up and get throws that are thrown higher. I like Walkers toughness and his is not phased when he takes a big hit. I like that Lansing Waverly coaches will run end-arounds with him too so they can get the ball in his hands in multiple ways. Walker is a very good football player who will be a game changer once again next year for Waverly.
#15 Ben Buzzard Ben Buzzard 6'3" | 175 lbs | QB Charlotte | 2024 MI | Charlotte | 2024 | Hudl
Buzzard has ideal size for the position at 6-3. I like his ability to compete and win 50/50 balls. Buzzard has good footwork and knows how to cut and quickly to get open on screen passes. He is a good natural hands-catcher of the football. He is good after the catch and has the size and strength to break tackles. Buzzard is a versatile player who also played quarterback for Charlotte. I like that Charlotte moves him around to different positions to utilize his skills. Buzzard’s play made a big impact in Charlotte winning many games last year and making it to the playoffs. Buzzard certainly is a game changing player who opposing defense need to account for at all times. I am excited to see how he does next year and to see him make plays at different positions.
#3 Tayven Feldpausch | Olivet | 2024 | Hudl
Feldpausch like the other guys does a great job of getting open on screen passes. I like his route running ability as he runs routes with precision and does not have a lot of wasted movements. He has the acceleration to get up field and pick up yards in a hurry after the catch. He is a very good blocker and goes after defenders with aggression. I like that he makes it an emphasis to make a good initial pop to knock a defender back when blocking. Feldpausch will compete and never gives up on trying to get open. He shows good awareness for where he is on the football field and can get open in the back of the end zone. Feldpausch does a good job of getting off the line of scrimmage in a hurry. He does a good job of creating separation and runs out-routes very well.
