Since so many prospects caught my eye this past weekend, I decided to do a 2-part series highlighting the talented prospects in attendance.
So without further ado, let’s get to know which prospects caught my eye during the 2023 PRZ IL Prospect Tour…
Lesroy Tittle Lesroy Tittle 6'1" | 195 lbs | DL Nazareth Academy | 2026 State IL | DL | Nazareth ‘26
Tittle displayed why he’s on his way to emerging as one of the up-and-coming pass rushers in the ILL state. His release is beyond explosive, and his speed is too much for most o-lineman.
Jackson Alcorn Jackson Alcorn 6'1" | 200 lbs | QB Burlington Central | 2025 State IL | QB | Burlington Central ‘25
Alcorn was by far the most polished QB in attendance regarding mechanics. He looked very comfortable throughout the drills and displayed good footwork. Throws a very catchable ball and can throw accurate touch passes.
Phillip Ellis | WR | Peoria ‘23
Phillip can flat-out move. By far one of the quickest and twitchiest prospects who showed up this past weekend. He’s the type of player where you must get the ball in his hands and let the magic happen.
Ryan Wulff Ryan Wulff 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Yorkville | 2025 IL | RB | Yorkville ‘25
Wulff’s speed was on display as he clocked the fastest 40-yard dash time during the camp (4.57). He’s a back who can take it the distance, but he also performed well during individual drills, which showed me he could wiggle his way out of trouble if needed.
Corin Greenwell Corin Greenwell 6'2" | 190 lbs | DB St. Francis | 2024 IL | DB | Wheaton St. Francis ‘24
Greenwell’s size and athleticism enabled him to have his way against opposing receivers this past weekend. He’s a highly talented defensive back who understands the nuances of the position. I’m not exaggerating when I say I don’t think I saw a receiver catch a pass on him the entire camp.
John McDonald John McDonald 6'1" | 205 lbs | RB Eureka | 2024 IL | LB | Eureka ‘24
McDonald definitely passes the linebacker eye test. He’s put together with a strong frame which I imagine enables him to lay the wood to his opponents on the field. McDonald looked great in the pursuit drills while also showing he’s capable of holding his own in coverage.
Blaise LaVista | WR | Libertyville ‘26
LaVista has the size, speed, and toughness to be an exceptional player in the coming years. His solid route-running was on display and he made some pretty impressive catches downfield.
Isaiah Houi | DB | Hononegah ‘24
Houi was one of the more skilled defensive backs during this weekend’s camp. His movements were fluid and second nature, and the ability to flip his hips enabled him to excel during man coverage. He’s another defensive back who did not allow many receivers to catch anything on him during the entire camp.
