Prospects Putting in Work 5-21-23

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over the weekend, the state of Arkansas witnessed plenty of graduations taking place as well as 2024, 2025, and 2026 prospects putting in some work in the lab. Prospective recruits know that the work has to be put in over the spring and summer months to excel on the field. With camps taking place all over the state as well as some in Missouri, the Natural State was well represented. We start our week off highlighting some of the prospects that stuck out over the weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='501976' first='Jonas' last='Nantze']-Offensive Line-Shiloh Christian-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Shiloh Christian offensive lineman had an impressive performance at the Varsity Combine camp in Webb City, Missouri over the weekend. Nantze was able to put his impressive power on display. He finished first in the King of the Hill challenge over the weekend. Meanwhile, he earned two scholarship offers in the process. Southeast Missouri State and Missouri Southern each extended scholarship Nantze's way. He is a prospect to watch out for over the next few months.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='646483' first='Gideon' last='Tate']-Kicker-Heber Springs-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='646483' first='Gideon' last='Tate'] hit two camps over the weekend. The Heber Springs kicker had the opportunity to showcase his strong leg at Henderson State and Arkansas Tech. Connecting on field goals from 45-yards numerous times. Tate has had an extremely impressive offseason and looks to be heading into summer workouts on a roll. He is one of the most talented kickers in the state and a prospect to watch out for this upcoming season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='149593' first='LJ' last='Robins']-Wide Receiver-Greenwood-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Greenwood receiving corps continues to open plenty of eyes at each camp one attends. Over the weekend, [player_tooltip player_id='149593' first='LJ' last='Robins'] had the opportunity to impress coaches at the Henderson State football camp. Robins ran an impressive forty-yard dash time in Arkadelphia over the weekend. Robins showcased a time 4.47 and, in the process, put a rest to doubts concerning his speed. Robins is a prospect to watch out for over the next few months.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='149539' first='Hunter' last='Marshall']-Offensive Line-Farmington-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Farmington center has had a tremendous career and is putting in the work this offseason. Over the weekend, Marshall has gotten to offseason camp circuit off to a strong start with an impressive performance at the Varsity Combine in Webb City. Marshall took second place in the king of the hill competition and opened plenty of eyes in the process. I look for Marshall to continue to have a strong offseason and hit the regular season in a determined manner.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='364854' first='Cody' last='Taylor']-Offensive Line-Greenwood-2026</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Greenwood Bulldogs are loaded on both sides of the ball heading into the 2023 football season. Taylor is a powerhouse that can play multiple positions along the offensive front. However, he projects as a tackle at the next level. Taylor has good quickness and displays impressive explosion out of the stance. Over the weekend, Taylor had a strong performance at the Varsity Combine. He has the potential to be a major target for numerous college programs over the next few years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Zach Burns-Running Back-Bentonville West-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Zach Burns is a versatile prospect for the Bentonville West Wolverines that can play the fullback and tight end positions with effectiveness. He has displayed an ability to catch the football out of the backfield. Burns had the opportunity to open plenty of eyes over the weekend at Benedictine College. I expect a strong season from Burns as the 2023 football season approaches.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
