Players Receiving Offers This Week

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is a time of the year when a lot of offers are being tossed around. Players have been evaluated numerous of times. Some are coming off of showcases where they have shown great talent. It's always a good feeling to know you have just received an offer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Elijah Barnes, 2026, LB, Skyline</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Barnes picked up an offer from Texas this week. That is very big for the 6-foot-3, 215-pound linebacker out of Skyline. I expect that he is going to have a big season this year. Barnes has the perfect build to be a great linebacker on the next level. It is going to be interesting to see how his body develops over the next few years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Derrick DJ Butler, RB, Davidson, 2024</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Butler has been on a roll with the offers this offseason. He recently received an offer from South Alabama. Butler is one of the best running backs Alabama has to offer in the 2024 class. He is a taller guy that has those long strides. Butler is going to see a lot more offers come his way during the fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1339492' first='Jamin' last='Brown'], OL, 2025, Southside</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brown is a big time guy that we need to become familiar with. He just received his first SEC offer from Kentucky. Brown is a 6-foot-5, 290-pound guy that has a very high ceiling. Brown is going to be a tackle on the next level. He has the hips, good feet and strength to hold down the tackle position. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='925436' first='Ziggy' last='Holloway'], Saint James, 2024, ATH</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Holloway is a big time playmaker. He picked up an offer from Georgia State this week and one from Grambling today. Holloway does a great job on both sides of the ball. I think he is going to be a defensive back on the next level. I love the way be closes on the ball when it is in the air. He has good hips. Holloway sits back like a hawk in zone coverage. He is a guy to keep up with. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
