Head Coach: Keith Stokes
Keith Stokes 1st season as Head Coach of Elizabethtown was a successful year, even though it ended in a playoff loss at home to Cocalico. Elizabethtown started 7-0 on the year until they lost a heartbreaker to Solanco 35-32. On the last play of the game, Elizabethtown threw the ball to the end zone, but the pass was incomplete. Overall Elizabethtown went 8-3 last year which was a successful 1st season for Coach Stokes. Also, I noticed the Elizabethtown team played with a different spirit under Coach Stokes.
Key Losses:
Bradan Cummings
Elijah McFarlane
Lyndon Olsen
Bradley Candy
Zach Liphold
Logan Lentz
Key Returning Players:
Drew Hitz
Ian Brosey
Zac Steffey
Quote From Head Coach Keith Stokes:
“Hard work pays off. Keep your head down and work. #Beardown”.
Season Outlook:
I came away very impressed with Elizabethtown in year one with Coach Stokes. His team played hard, fast, and together. It was impressive to watch. He has to replace several key players, but he should be able to find enough good players to fill the key roles. Usually, between the 1st and 2nd season, you see a jump from a football program under a 2nd year Head Coach. I expect to see that as well. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Coach Stokes has Elizabethtown in contention for a Section Title.
