In this report, I preview five new name recruits 2022 season film and provide a short player analysis for each of these new recruits as they prepare to head into the 2023 summer college camp season.
Santino Harper Santino Harper 5’9″ | 200 lbs | RB Salisbury School Ct. | 2024 State New E is currently from Cleveland Ohio. He is a 5’9 200Ib RB/S who will reclass into the C/O 2024. He currently attends St.Vincent-St.Mary in Akron Ohio. In fall 2023, he will attend Salisbury School in Connecticut.
In viewing his film, he has a low center of gravity with good power in his lower extremities. He runs with very good lean and ideal as a 3rd down back. He can twist and turn and get downhill while running between the tackles. He is experienced in finishing runs. Shows decent speed.
He is a lean 6’0″ 162 lb athlete who plays both safety and qb for his team. His film shows good instincts on defense. He reacts fast to run support needs and uses a wrap and roll technique when tackling. His field awareness combined with good reactionary skills, allow him to also protect the edge.
Highlights
In view of his film, the 1st clip shows good burst and speed. He is shifty, twitchy and blessed with quickness. Shows very good athletic ability. He is experienced in getting separation when he runs his routes. His Yac is good and he gets upfield quickly with his speed. If you dig deeper enough into his highlights, you can see that he does a very good job with blocking out on the perimeter. On defense, he is a striker when tackling. Shows good reactionary skills. He will surely be added to our updated rankings in August 2023. He will fight the size concern during his recruitment, but has the athleticism to overcome. I’d love to see is 40 time along with shuttle time from college camps as it maybe a deciding factor for what level of play he will land at the next level.
He should attract college attention during the summer college camp season. Has versatility and could play DB or WR/Slot at the next level.
Highlights
His film shows he is a bit raw in technique but with good size at linebacker. He can fill and maintain gap integrity. Keeps a low center of gravity when pursuing ball carriers. He can make secure tackles with a wrap and roll technique. Need to see more film of his lateral movement ability that includes sideline to sideline, and flat out play speed.
Highlights
He made our New England rankings update on May 1, 2023, as the #3 athlete in the class of 2026. His film review shows that he uses a very low force when providing pressure of the edge. Has good speed and quickness to recover from over pursuing. He provides good consistent pursuit and effort each rep. Has very good strength at point of attack. He is disruptive and can provide a solid pass rush while protecting the edge. He is young with plenty of time to continue developing. He will be added to our class of 2026 rankings in August 2023.
