Over the weekend, Lyon College head coach Chris Douglas had a number of talented prospects in Batesville to evaluate. We are to shine a spotlight on some prospects to keep an eye on over the next few months.
Chase Trimble-Offensive Line-Bryant-2026
Chase Trimble is a versatile prospect to watch out for over the next couple of seasons. He works effectively on both sides of the ball. Trimble has good explosiveness out of the stance and does a great job of getting out front on screens and sweeps. He is a strong offensive lineman and uses his hands well. Trimble is a prospect with a high ceiling, and I expect a strong high school football career out of the talented Bryant Hornet. Keep an eye on Trimble, he has the potential to do big things on Friday nights.
Wyatt Golden-Quarterback-White Hall-2026
The quarterback position in the class of 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most loaded positions in the class. Last weekend, Golden had the opportunity to put his accuracy on display in Batesville. Golden is the type of quarterback that can fit the ball into some tight windows. He can throw his receivers open. Golden has the arm strength to keep the opposing defense honest with the threat of the deep ball. He opened some eyes at the Lyon passing camp and will be a quarterback to watch out for over the next few seasons.
Chandler Blunt Chandler Blunt 6'2" | 170 lbs | DB Pine Bluff | 2024 State AR -Defensive Back-Pine Bluff-2024
Chandler Blunt Chandler Blunt 6'2" | 170 lbs | DB Pine Bluff | 2024 State AR is one of the most intriguing prospects in the class of 2024. He has the ability to play on both sides of the ball. On the defensive side of the ball, Blunt is a cornerback that uses his size and athletic ability well. Blunt can be physical with opposing wide receivers. He has the hands needed to pick off a pass and take it back the opposite direction. Blunt is another prospect to keep an eye on this season after performing well at the Lyon camp over the weekend.
TJ Ellis TJ Ellis 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Hot Springs | 2025 State AR -Wide Receiver-Hot Springs-2025
The Hot Springs Trojans always have a team that is talented. TJ Ellis TJ Ellis 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Hot Springs | 2025 State AR meets that description perfectly. Ellis does an impressive job of creating separation using his strength and athletic ability. He does a good job of putting the ball into his hands before making a move with the football. Ellis has proven to be a player that is an unselfish blocker. Ellis has proven to be an unselfish player that has no trouble clearing a rushing lane for his teammates. He is going to be a prospect to watch out for over the next few seasons for the Trojans.
Jagger Gordon Jagger Gordon 6'3" | 185 lbs | TE Farmington | 2024 State AR -Tight End-Farmington-2024
Jagger Gordon Jagger Gordon 6'3" | 185 lbs | TE Farmington | 2024 State AR is a versatile prospect that can work at the tight end or wide receiver positions for the Cardinals. Gordon flashes good speed and uses his athletic ability well to create separation from opposing defenders. He uses his versatility well and can be lined up all over the offensive front. Gordon was another prospect putting in the work at Lyon College over the weekend. I look for Gordon to have a strong season for Farmington this upcoming season.
Hunter Marshall Hunter Marshall 5'8" | 245 lbs | OL Farmington | 2024 State AR -Offensive Line-Farmington-2024
The Farmington offensive lineman continues to put in the work every offseason. Over the past few seasons, he has worked primarily at the center position. Marshall is an offensive lineman that has good power and excellent speed. I have yet to see him deliver a bad snap. He will be working at the guard position for the next few months. Marshall had another impressive camp in Batesville over the weekend and is a prospect to keep an eye on this season.
