I aim to bring these gems to light for the next level to see. This article consists of five 2024 playmakers of the Hoosier Hills Conference. The Hoosier Hills Conference consists of seven teams from Southern Indiana: Seymour, Bedford North Lawrence, Columbus East, Floyd Central, New Albany, Jennings County, and Jeffersonville. The following five athletes in this article are preparing to have a great upcoming season and show out at a summer camp near you!
Memphis Louden Memphis Louden 6’1″ | 205 lbs | QB Bedford North Lawrence | 2024 State IN is a great dual-threat talent coming out of Bedford North Lawrence. Memphis threw for 1,405 yards, 12 TDs, and 6 INTs. He also got it done on the ground with 115 carries, 622 yards, and 4 rushing TDs. These stats and his great effort on the field earned him Hoosier Hills All-Conference honors. Memphis is a tough-nosed quarterback who isn’t afraid to lower his shoulder and run you over. He throws the ball well under pressure and can still drop bombs on a dime for his receivers. I enjoyed watching him put the ball on the money for his wide receivers and I am sure they loved it too. I am very impressed with how Memphis plays at the QB position. You should be on the lookout for the show this young man will put on this season. Keep an eye out for Memphis Louden Memphis Louden 6’1″ | 205 lbs | QB Bedford North Lawrence | 2024 State IN this summer!
Caaden Gault
Caaden Gault
Caaden Gault is a stud linebacker coming from Columbus East. He had 47 solo tackles, 49 assists, 96 total tackles, 9 TFLs, and 1 Sack last season. Caaden plays like he is a ball-seeking missile! He is physical at the point of attack and has good block destruction tools. His physicality is impressive. From how he bullies offensive linemen to how he finishes the play by cleaning up the ball carrier at the pile. Caaden shows the ability to make things right on the fly and lead by example. He shows great vision for the position and shows he can navigate through traffic to make big plays. I anticipate Caaden to have a great summer circuit of camps and end up having a great senior season.
Tristan Robertson Tristan Robertson 6’2″ | 210 lbs | QB Floyd Central | 2024 State IN is a gunslinger from Floyd Central who is looking to have a great senior season. He threw for 1,543 yards, 6 TDs, and 7 INTs while also having 81 carries, 172 yards, and 5 TDs on the ground. I anticipate Tristan to improve this season. He shows to have a great arm and fits the ball into tight spaces. His receivers love him because he puts the ball where only they can go up and make a spectacular catch. My favorite attribute of Tristan’s play is his ability to stay calm in the face of distress. He doesn’t need to scramble, because he doesn’t mind the pressure. Tristan will stand there and take one on the chin while throwing a dime to his teammates in stride. Keep an eye on Tristan this summer and watch him light up the scoreboard this fall.
Highlights
Floyd Central has a great centerpiece in their defense with Samuel Lockhart Samuel Lockhart 5’11” | 210 lbs | ATH Floyd Central | 2024 State IN . Samuel recorded 37 solo tackles, 44 assists, 81 total tackles, and 2 TFLs last season. Lockhart also picked up some hardware after the season. He was named Hoosier Hills All-Conference and IFCA 5A Junior All-State Honors. Who doesn’t love a hard-nosed, physical middle linebacker from the Mid-West? Samuel Lockhart Samuel Lockhart 5’11” | 210 lbs | ATH Floyd Central | 2024 State IN fits that mold! He understands his assignment and executes it at a high level. He is disruptive in the passing game and will make wide receivers think twice about running a route by him. Samuel is setting himself up for a great senior season and proving himself to be ready for the next level.
Nikolas Schindler Nikolas Schindler 6’2″ | 180 lbs | QB Jeffersonville | 2024 State IN has been a gem for the Jeffersonville Red Devils. Last season, Nik threw for 1,525 yards, 14 TDs, and 4 INTs. Nik looks so comfortable from the pocket and effective under pressure. There doesn’t seem to be anything that can phase him back there. I love his ability to find ways to extend plays. Even if he is an inch from the ground about to be sacked, he still gets the ball to a playmaker. Nik loves to show off his arm and does so with great ball placement. He can put the ball where needed for his teammates to make big-time plays. Nik’s toughness and ability to never give up on the play are going to help him get to the next level. Nik is already hard at work this offseason. He looks ready to show off his arm to all the college coaches this summer.
