In the scouting world, there are times when you absolutely have to get eyes on talented players in person. You see their greatness on film and being live allows you to get up close and right next to the action. We spotlight three explosive play makers who have the must see live type of game that you will see on Saturdays in the near future.

Atkins has a stout, powerful frame, he plays with excellent pad level and he is a homerun threat who can strike like lighting, with deadly intentions. He has great vision, he has superb balance, which allows him to keep his shoulders square in the hole at the point of attack. Taji runs with power between the tackles, he has the short area quickness to elude defenders in the open field and his explosive burst combined with sprinter speed makes him a nightmare for opposing defenses. Atkins has the skill set that college programs covet and his double digit offer sheet includes, Tulsa, Utah State, San Diego State, Sam Houston State, Texas State and North Texas. Taji is a franchise back who will have a chance to play early at the next level wherever he calls home in 2024.

Cardenas is a big body back with nimble feet, he has a compact frame and his powerful lower half allows him to be an explosive freight train who packs a punch with the football in his hands. Johann has superb vision, he sets his blocks up well and he has the patience in the hole to let the play develop and when he sees a crease he explodes like he was shot out of a cannon. He runs with excellent forward lean, his ability to bounce, cut, stop and get north in a hurry are traits that flourish in his game. Cardenas has great hands and he is a threat in the passing game out of the backfield who can turn a short gain into a back breaking touchdown in a heartbeat. In 2022 Johann, had 1,371 all purpose yards with 18 touchdowns. College programs from around the country are flocking to H-Town to get eyes on Cardenas. Colorado, Missouri, Tulsa, SMU, Oregon, Kentucky and Sam Houston State are just a few of the double digit offers he has on the table and he leaves no doubt that you need to get eyes on his game in person.
