Four Solid Runners From Class 4A

Four Wamego Prospects to watch closely.

As a lifelong Kansan, I have always felt that Class 4A is one of the most competitive in the state of Kansas. Over the years it has also seen programs come and go.   Scott Community, Wellington, Holton, Andale, and Hayden all had state title runs in Class 4A and all four have moved to lower classifications.   In recent years Bishop Miege and St. James Academy have dominated the group. One consistent over the years is that Class 4A produces football players who can compete at the collegiate level.   Here is a quick look at four players from Class 4A who had productive junior seasons carrying the ball. All four of them are highly recruitable as they enter the summer before their senior seasons on the gridiron. None of the four have committed that I am aware of and all four are in the Class of 2024.   [player_tooltip player_id='544724' first='Colton' last='Brusven'], RB, 5'10”, 170, Tonganoxie   Brusven rushed for 1,260 yards and scored 11 touchdowns carrying the ball. He hits the hole quickly and he is able to cut back against the grain when needed. Brusven is ranked No. 107 in Prep Redzone's class of 2024 rankings for payers in Kansas.   [player_tooltip player_id='1112075' first='Camdon' last='Julian'], ATH, 6'1”, 185, Independence   Julian can play multiple positions for a football team. He rushed for 733 yards and nine touchdowns and threw for 733 yards and eight touchdowns. He can play QB, RB, WR, SS, and LB. The question for this prospect is not if he can play, but where should he play. He will have an immediate impact on special teams for whatever college program signs him down the road.   [player_tooltip player_id='263381' first='Gianni' last='Rizzi'], RB, 5'8”, 165, St. Thomas Aquinas   Rizzi is a guy that you can tell really enjoys hauling the rock. He rushed for 841 yards and four touchdowns during his junior season. He has been clocked at 4.65 seconds in the forty. Rizzi plays linebacker on defense and is a dangerous return man. Rizzi is ranked No. 115 among his Kansas peers in the class of 2024.   Kole Manley,  QB, 5'11”, 165, Eudora   Manley is a dual-threat quarterback. He rushed for 476 yards and six touchdowns during his junior season. He also threw for 739 yards and 12 touchdowns. He has a nice arm, but a position change could be in his future or he can play safety on defense. He is a threat at QB in a veer or RPO offensive system.
