In this report, I will review the 2022 season highlight film and give a short analysis of each of the newly Top ranked recruits we have identified as “Defensive Lineman” and who are battling in the trenches and attend high school in Connecticut.
Adam Shovlin Adam Shovlin 6’5″ | 250 lbs | DL St. Thomas More | 2025 State NewE He is ranked as the #1 class of 2025 “Defensive Lineman” in Connecticut and also the # 1 ranked “Defensive Lineman” in the New England. He attends St Thomas Moore in Connecticut.
“Shovlin” film easily definies why he has power 5 offers. His defensive battles are won with speed, quickness and power as an edge rusher. His instincts and awareness are solid traits. Quickness, Strength at point of attack and his lateral quickness with the ability to give a solid power rush are some of the other top traits he provides. His speed/edge rush comes with excellent pursuit and effort.
He has Power 5 offers that will continue to increase until he chooses where he wants to go. A no brainer solid recruit!!!

Tyler Partlow Tyler Partlow 6’4″ | 280 lbs | DL St. Thomas More | 2025 State NewE He is ranked as the #2 class of 2025 “Defensive Lineman” in Connecticut and also the # 2 ranked “Defensive Lineman” in the New England. He attends St Thomas Moore in Connecticut.
A solid DT who gives relentless efforts. I like how he gets into the offensive lineman. Knocks their hands off of him and gets into his position. He can spin, turn, strike, bull rush, whatever he has got to do to win the battle. He stands a large 6’4″ and with the characteristic that I love in defensive linemen more than anything is effort. It’s hair on fire, nasty, chasing the ball sideline to sideline, and never ever giving up. That’s a defensive lineman and he has these skills. He may not be as fast as the next guy, but he has that effort and can make plays.
He is another power 5 recruit with active offes and the offer list should rise this 2023 spring/summer.
Jelani White He is ranked as the #3 class of 2025 “Defensive Lineman” in Connecticut and also the # 9 ranked “Defensive Lineman” in the New England. He attends St Thomas Moore in Connecticut.rn
Quickness pops in his skill set. His flexibility (running the hoops) is good. Lateral quickness is very good. Balance, body control are visible with good athletic coordination. Burst shows the ability to provide a pass rush and get tackles for loss. He is a rising talent who was positioned behind 5 different scholarship worthy defensive tackles during the 2022 season. His 2023 summer camp season and fall 2023 playing season production, should help ignite his recruitment. It just a matter of time for this recruit as he brings a very large frame and desire to work and compete with his skill set.

Jahnoi Prentice Jahnoi Prentice 6’2″ | 270 lbs | DL Salisbury School | 2025 State NewE He is ranked as the #4 class of 2025 “Defensive Lineman” in Connecticut and also the # 12 ranked “Defensive Lineman” in the New England. He attends Salisbury School in Connecticut.
“Prentice has a very low pad level when firing off the ball. He uses excellent leverage with good arm extension to hold up 1st level blockers. He can shed and find the ball carrier to make the play. Keeps his eyes pinned to the backfield and can maintain gap integrity. He takes on double teams and can be seen splitting them with success. He uses a wrap and roll technique when tackling. His lower body strength stands out on film.
Luca Corsano Luca Corsano 6’1″ | 240 lbs | DL Greenwich Country Day | 2025 State NewE He is ranked as the #5 class of 2025 “Defensive Lineman” in Connecticut and also the # 14 ranked “Defensive Lineman” in the New England. He attends Greenwich Country Day in Connecticut.
Provides an initial fight out of his stance. Gives a solid pass rush effort that can flush the qb out of the pocket to make him uncomfortable. Maintains a low pad level when taking on blockers. Makes very good use of his hand placement when taking on double teams and shedding blocks. Has the ability to be an effective gap plugger in short yardage situations. His height size will be a concern at the next level but his overall aggression is of high level and may help him overcome the concern from college coaches.
