There are studs in this small pocket of Indiana. Speaking of pockets, the Pocket Athletic Conference is split into two divisions: Large School and Small School. In this article, I highlight five 2024 PAC Large School Division prospects. These five young men need to be on the watch lists of local college coaches recruiting in the area.
Braydon Durham Braydon Durham 6’0″ | 195 lbs | LB Heritage Hills | 2024 State IN is the real deal and going to be my pick for defensive player of the year in the conference this fall. Braydon earned PAC All-Conference Honors and IFCA 3A Junior All-State Honors. His 45 solo tackles, 52 assists, 97 total tackles, 4 TFLs, and 1 Sack helped him earn these honors last fall. I love how this kid plays and his highlights got me up out of my chair. He does not hesitate when it comes to filling the gap. Braydon is first to the hole and makes his presence felt! My favorite part of his tackling is how he makes contact and puts his opponents in reverse. The first clip of his highlight tape is him meeting his opponent in hole and running him back 20 yards! Tough nosed, high motor player that has a bright future ahead of him. Braydon will be a top linebacker in camps this summer.
Highlights
Tanner Boyd Tanner Boyd 5’11” | 170 lbs | QB Gibson Southern | 2024 State IN is the reining PAC All-Conference Offensive Captain (Offensive MVP). He is looking to one-up himself and win MVP of the conference. Tanner passed for 1,485 yards, completing 72.4% of his passes, 17 TDs, and 5 INTs. These stats not only helped him earn All-Conference honors, but earned him a spot on the IFCA 3A Junior All-State team. Tanner is a fearless QB and can get the job done on the ground when needed. His speed and elusiveness are great attributes that keeps the defense on their toes. He excels in the sprint out game and accurately throws the ball on the run. Tanner makes great decisions and makes the defense pay for their mistakes. I love his accuracy and his ability to thread the needle in tight spaces. Tanner is ready to have a great senior season and improve this summer to make a run in the fall.

Sean DeLong Sean DeLong 5’9″ | 180 lbs | WR Gibson Southern | 2024 State IN was a weapon for the Gibson Southern Titans. Sean was seen all over the field this past year. He is a special teams warrior and on defense teleports to the football. On offense, he was lined up in the slot and made appearances in the backfield as a running back. He carried the ball 56 times and had 317 yards with a total of 6 TDs on the ground. As a wideout, Sean brought in 58 receptions for 498 yards and 5 TDs. He earned himself PAC All-Conference Honors along with IFCA 3A Junior All-State Honors as a WR. Sean reminds me of the energizer bunny. He is tough to bring down and plays with a high motor that allows him to run through weak tackles. Gibson Southern did a great job getting Sean the ball, knowing how dangerous he is with the ball in his hands. Sean is setting himself up to have a great summer and senior season.

Nicot Burnett
Nicot Burnett
By far my favorite highlight tape I’ve watched in a long time. Nicot Burnett had me hyped up watching his highlight tape (great music)! Nicot gets the job done through the air and on the ground like he works for FedEx. Better keep him in the pocket, because he is dangerous in open space. Nicot ran 502 yards and 6 TDs in the last fall. He is not just a scrambling quarterback, he shows to have a decent arm, and makes accurate and effective throws. He threw for 1,324 yards, 17 TDs, and 5 INTs which earned him PAC All-Conference QB last fall. Nicot deserves more attention, because he is truly a dynamic player. He is a great prospect and will have some more eyes on him this summer and fall.
Stihl Scott Stihl Scott 6’5″ | 250 lbs | OL Boonville | 2024 State IN is an intriguing prospect at the DL position. First off, he is all of 6’5″ 240 lbs. and has a great frame coaches love at the next level. He is a monster up front and uses his length to his advantage. He is an intimidating figure to be lined up against on Friday nights. Stihl had 35 solos, 24 assists, 59 total tackles, 13 TFLs, and 1 Sack on the year. These stats earned him PAC All-Conference Honors and IFCA 4A Junior All-State Honors. I believe Stihl’s best football is still ahead of him. Stihl’s film shows him ragdolling his opponents in the backfield. He is another DL from the Southwest Indiana area to keep on eye this summer and next season.
