It's always interesting to look at the talent by position for each class. The Oregon 2025 QB group has the potential of being special with 3-4 athletes projecting at the division 1 level. Have a look at some of the talent..

Most are aware of [player_tooltip player_id='285852' first='Avirey' last='Durdahl'] who currently ranks as the #1 QB and #5 overall prospect in the class. He broke out as a freshman, and followed that up with an all-state sophomore season, throwing 18 TDs/2 INTs for a Nelson program that ranked in the top 10 throughout the year. There is still a lot yet to be determined as this off season will be telling, after a successful few months on the 7v7 circuit under top QB coach Alex Brink.

6-5 gunslinger [player_tooltip player_id='285857' first='Nolan' last='Keeney'] could be the most interesting of the group after making the transfer to 6A power Tualatin. He didn't put up crazy numbers as a sophomore with POY [player_tooltip player_id='110209' first='Jordan' last='Fisher'] carrying the ball 30 times a game while at Westview. That said as the Team Lillard product could blow up if he is able to execute throwing to three division 1 targets, in [player_tooltip player_id='152339' first='Jayden' last='Fortier'], [player_tooltip player_id='152355' first='AJ' last='Noland'], and [player_tooltip player_id='152338' first='Kenen' last='Elder'].

All things considered last year's most successful QB may have been [player_tooltip player_id='285866' first='Liam' last='Davis'] of Lake O. The Sophomore stepped in and led an extremely young Lakers team to the state quarterfinals. I personally considered Davis more of an athlete then a QB, until he proved himself time and again last season. His 20/23 performance for 287 yards and 3 TDs against North Medford in the 1st round of the playoffs helped solidify his success.

West Salem had a very uncharacteristic 1-8 season under one of the state's all-time great coaches in Shawn Stanley. [player_tooltip player_id='285871' first='Kaden' last='Martirano'] was lost for the year early going down with an injury, but looks to back and super legit. If off-season tape is any indication, he could be one of the best in the region.

Maybe the fastest rising prospect in the state for the class. [player_tooltip player_id='406774' first='Baird' last='Gilroy'] MVP'd the PRZ event a few weeks back and has the potential of being a top 10 recruit state wide. The 6-5 215 pound quarterback may lead the reigning state champs to multiple 6A titles in the coming seasons. He looks to be the real deal.

I really like [player_tooltip player_id='285886' first='JoJo' last='Harrower'] and WR [player_tooltip player_id='152353' first='Caden' last='Negra']. The Grizzlies have struggled as a program, recently dropping down to the 4A level. So many athletes transfer but not this duo. Harrower put up outstanding numbers as a sophomore, especially considering the current situation. Look for JoJo to do well collegiately wherever he ends up.

[player_tooltip player_id='406763' first='Noah' last='Blair'] was the best 2nd team all conference QB in the state last season. His 22 TDs/4 INTs and 72% completion percentage spoke to his success. Blair's overall athleticism is one of many attributes which are incredibly appealing from a recruitment standpoint. We will see if he gets out on the camp circuit and impresses.

Look for [player_tooltip player_id='406768' first='Ben' last='Schneider'] to make a nice jump up the rankings board with another successful season. The honorable mention all TRL QB had a phenoemnal showing at the recent PRZ event in Oregon, as he will have a few of the state's top targets to throw to at Oregon City. There is a lot going on at OC with numerous question marks but the talent is definitely there.

Lets see what [player_tooltip player_id='274319' first='Luke' last='Baker'] can due at Clack. The recent Central Catholic transfer made a smart move, making his way back to his home school where he will most likley be the guy. The Cavaliers struggled last year losing to the likes of Sandy. Look for the talented overall athlete to make the most of the opportunity.

Not a lot of people know about the 6-4 175 pound 4A QB yet, but the kid can play. [player_tooltip player_id='511860' first='Max' last='Nowlin'] was instrumental in helping the Indians reach the 4A semifinals as they should be a title contender as long as he's taking the snaps. Look for him to put up some big numbers this coming season after throwing 22 TDs/11 INTs and hitting on 65% of his passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='406769' first='Kane' last='Sullivan'] is one of the biggest sleepers in Oregon. McMinnville has not been a traditional 6A power over the years, but they will have a shot with the likes of Sullivan and fellow 2025 standout [player_tooltip player_id='285856' first='Landon' last='Fay']. If the Grizzlies were to make the 6A playoffs (Not the consolation bracket) that would be considered a wildly successful season.
