There were college coaches on hand to observe the prospects throughout the combine. There was a lot of talent on display during the combine. The prospects that caught my attention throughout the combine are covered in the review.
Jodi Freeman Jodi Freeman 6'7" | 360 lbs | OL Purnell Swett | 2024 State NC – OL, 6’6″ 300 (No. 13 OL, No. 118 Overall), Purnell Swett HS. Jodi displayed good footwork and technique while participating in the agility drills. One of the things that caught my attention was that he moved really well for a large lineman. He displayed quickness and upper body strength to control defender during the one-on-one drills. The 2024 prospect should start to generate recruiting interest during his participation in Summer Prospect Camps.
Tyler Clark Tyler Clark 6'4" | 280 lbs | OL CE Jordan | 2024 State NC – OL, 6’3″ 260 (No. 12 OL, No. 117 Overall), CE Jordan HS. Tyler displayed good footwork and technique while participating in the agility drills. One thing that draws attention to Tyler is his ability to control much larger defensive linemen. He utilizes quickness and upper body strength to get the advantage on defensive linemen. The 2024 prospect should already have offers, which should start to come in for him during participation in Summer Prospect Camps.
Rodney Lacewell Rodney Lacewell 6'6" | 290 lbs | OL East Bladen | 2024 State NC – OL, 6’6″ 290 (No. 14 OL, No. 119 Overall), East Bladen HS. Rodney displayed good footwork and technique to control defenders during the one-on-one drills. He displayed good mobility and good change in direction while participating in the agility drills. He moved well while participating in the various drills during the combine. The 2024 prospect should start to generate recruiting interest during participation in Summer Prospect Camps.
Armon Wright Armon Wright 5'9" | 170 lbs | WR Chambers | 2024 State NC – WR, 5’10” 185 (No. 12 WR, No. 169 Overall), Chambers HS. Armon ran good pass routes and good separation from defenders to make catches during the one-on-one drills. He displayed the ability to make quick cuts and changes in directions while running pass routes. Armon displayed speed and quickness while participating in the agility drills. The 2024 prospect should already have offers, which should start to come in for him during participation in Summer Prospect Camps.
Ross Smith Ross Smith 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Forest Hills | 2024 State NC – WR, 6’0″ 175 (No. 13 WR, No. 170 Overall), Forest Hills HS. Ross ran good pass routes and good separation from defenders to make catches during the one-on-one drills. He displayed speed and quickness while participating in the agility drills. Ross drew attention from the crowd when he made a one-handed catch during the one-on-one drills. The 2024 prospect should start to generate recruiting interest during participation in Summer Prospect Camps.
Mason Fortune Mason Fortune 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Millbrook | 2024 State NC – QB, 6’1″ 190 (No. 6 QB, No. 49 Overall), Millbrook HS. Mason displayed a fluid arm with a complete follow-through on his throws on target to the receivers. He displayed good arm strength and improved ball velocity on short and medium range throws. Mason was quick and efficient in his technique to complete throws with accuracy. The 2024 prospect should already have offers, which should start to come in for him during participation in Summer Prospect Camps.
Jaimire Rogers Jaimire Rogers 5'10" | 150 lbs | WR Millbrook | 2024 State NC – WR, 5’10” 150 (No. 36 WR, No. 305 Overall), Millbrook HS. Jaimire ran good pass routes and separation from defenders to make catches during the one-on-one drills. He displayed decent speed and change of direction while participating in the agility drills. He made good cuts and hesitation moves to shake defenders to make catches. The 2024 prospect should start to generate recruiting interest during participation in Summer Prospect Camps.
