Prep Redzone Kansas just released new updates to its Class of 2024 rankings.

That list now has 210 players ranked. Multiple athletes from North Central Kansas League schools are ranked between 210 and 101.

Here is the second of multiple reports planned for this week on “Under The Radar” players ranked in the bottom half of the rankings who are looking for productive senior seasons to lead to scholarship opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id='415352' first='Wyatt' last='Burgess'], LB, 6'2”, 205, Wamego (No. 107)

Burgess is a ball-hawk on defense. He has a quick first step and knows how to finish tackles. His speed plays as both a coverage man or used for blitzing.

[player_tooltip player_id='676192' first='Stocton' last='Timbrook'], QB, 6'2”, 195, Abilene (No. 116)

Timbrook took varsity snaps at quarterback the past two seasons for the Cowboys. In two seasons he has thrown for 843 yards and eight touchdowns. Timbrook has an accurate arm and he can throw a deep ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='826183' first='Brax' last='Fisher'], WR, 6'2”, 180, Abilene (No. 128)

One of Timbrook's targets at Abilene is the swift-footed Fisher. He caught 8 balls for 124 yards and two touchdowns during his junior season. Fisher plays point guard for Abilene's basketball team and his height and leaping skills make him a difficult match-up in both sports.

[player_tooltip player_id='543069' first='Jackson' last='Zeigler'], LB, 6'2”, 200, Wamego (No. 164)

Ziegler is a strong young man, whose work in the gym has reaped benefits on the gridiron. Able to deadlift 535 lbs. and squat 455 lbs., Zeigler's strong legs and arms make him difficult to block.

[player_tooltip player_id='262757' first='Keegun' last='Beims'], OL, 6'1”, 270, Concordia (No. 169)

Beims collected 42 total tackles during the 2022 season. The defensive tackle had two tackles-for-loss during his junior season and one fumble recovery.

[player_tooltip player_id='335900' first='DJ' last='Messerly'], DL, 6'1”, 225, Chapman (No. 170)

Messerly is fast for a defensive lineman having been clocked in the Forty at 4.75 seconds. His speed and height make him a weapon when he lines up at tight end. He more than likely will be recruited to play defense, but I would line him up as an edge-blocking tight end all day.

[player_tooltip player_id='145514' first='Mason' last='King'], ATH, 5'9”, 220, Wamego (No. 195)

King is a football player for sure, but the question is what position should he play. His combination of size and speed plays out at QB, RB, WR, LB, or defensive back. His recruitment will be based on his ability to run and take care of the ball on offense, or shut down opponents and force turnovers on defense.
