Continue Readingt’s hard to say that a quarterback coming off winning a sectional championship has a lot to prove, however, he has to prove this season that last season wasn’t a fluke.
I came away very impressed with Walley’s overall play for the season. He finishes the year with a 67 completion percentage and 110 passing yards in 13 passing touchdowns. In addition, has some solid throws in the championship game where he was a driving force and helped in the Northern Highlands win a section of the title.
JR is 6’2 195 pounds, he has the prototypical quarterback look and he’s one of the more polished prospects in this class. The one aspect of quarterback that he excels at throws where you have to put the precise amount of air and layering to make an accurate throw. He is one of the most underrated quarterbacks in this class despite winning a championship however, that will change this upcoming season.
The only quarterback on this list, who doesn’t have any varsity highlights, but he does have a lot of promise, that it will make a lot of sense for another high school to take advantage of.
He’s a big physical dual-threat QB who throws well on the run and can make things happen with his legs. He has a physical nature to his game, which makes him a load to bring down in the open field.
Jennings will be going from Bergen Catholic to Eastside which would allow him to show off his full skill set and get some serious looks from colleges.
Highlights
Goldsberry never had more than 15 pass attempts in the game this past season but we have seen the improvement in his game and he makes the list because we want to see him continue to improve.
Logan is a lot better than 398 passing yards for the season. I want to see him accept the challenge and pass for over 1000 yards and get over 10 passing touchdowns.
Goldsberry is 6’1 185 pounds with solid athleticism. The best aspect of his game at this moment is his ability to get the ball downfield with accuracy. However, if he cleans up his mechanics, timing, and rhythm, I believe he can develop into an all-around, solid quarterback prospect.
Highlights
DeGennaro is one of the cleaner prospects in this class. He shows an array of throws on his tape from passes driving the ball up the seems, to passes with accuracy and touch down the field.
DeGennaro has the most talent of any quarterback on this list. As a result, it’s only a matter of time before he gets a Divison One offer. If you refer to his tape, you can see that he has an all-around skill set and many skills that translate well to the college game.
I’m expecting DeGennaro to shatter all of his stats this coming season and be with the top quarterbacks in his class.
