The next three months figure to be busy in that regard. So let’s take a look at where the state’s top prospects stand as the temperatures and recruitments begin ramping back up.

No. 21 Dylan Day Dylan Day 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Southern Lab | 2024 State LA — 6-0, 170 DB — Southern Lab
In-state programs Grambling State, Louisiana Tech and Tulane kicked off Day’s recruitment with offers throughout 2022, and things ramped up swiftly on the heels of his junior season as the calendar hit 2023. Marshall, Arizona State, Ole Miss, Baylor, Miami, Arkansas State, Mississippi State, West Virginia, Maryland and Georgia Tech have all offered with Tennessee, LSU and Florida State among other programs monitoring. Notably, Baylor signed Carl Williams IV Carl Williams IV 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Southern Lab | 2023 State LA out of Southern Lab this winter.
No. 22 Anthony Robinson III Anthony Robinson III 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Destrehan | 2024 State LA — 6-0, 185 ATH — Destrehan
Tulane, TCU, Baylor, Missouri, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, UTSA, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana (Lafayette), Miami, ULM, Georgia Tech, SMU, Memphis, Marshall and Texas State have been among the offers with some some notable connections including several graduating teammates heading to Tulane and another to Missouri, plus all the Louisiana ties at programs around the state and region.
No. 23 Tony Burns Tony Burns 6'1" | 180 lbs | DB University Lab | 2024 State LA — 6-1, 180 DB — University Lab
Grambling State extended the first scholarship offer last summer, and he’s on the radar of Tulane and others. HIs recruitment has been slower to take off than some others in this range of the rankings, but should finally do so as he gets back in front of college coaches this spring and summer.
No. 24 Ty Lee Ty Lee 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Lafayette Christian | 2024 State LA — 6-1, 180 DB — Lafayette Christian
Marshall and Southern extended Lee’s first scholarship offers last year, but the Lafayette Christian corner is another rising senior the bulk of whose recruitment appears still ahead this spring and summer. Louisiana (Lafayette), Mississippi State, Florida State and Southern Miss have been among other notable programs keeping an eye on him.
No. 25 Joseph Cryer Joseph Cryer 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL Natchitoches Central | 2024 State LA — 6-4, 290 OL — Natchitoches Central
Cryer’s run of recent visits has included Missouri, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and TCU with Oklahoma State next up. He holds offers from each of those programs and a long list further with South Florida, Penn State, Boston College and Cincinnati among the latest additions.
No. 26 Cullen Charles Cullen Charles 6'0" | 190 lbs | ATH St. Martinville | 2024 State LA — 6-0, 190 ATH — St. Martinville
Charles entered the new year with offers from Houston, Tulane, UCF, Memphis, Southern Miss and Grambling State; ULM and Troy have been the latest additions; and LSU and Mississippi State have been among others to watch.
No. 27 Kyle Williams Kyle Williams 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Northshore | 2024 State LA — 6-0, 175 DB — Northshore
The Panthers’ standout defensive back has finally started to gain some overdue traction on the recruiting trail with recent Louisiana Tech, Ole Miss, Texas State and Southeastern Louisiana offers and additional visits to Mississippi State and Tulane.
No. 28 Joshua Jackson Joshua Jackson 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR St. Augustine | 2024 State LA — 6-3, 180 WR — St. Augustine
Michigan and Mississippi State have appeared to emerge at the forefront of Jackson’s recruitment, with Florida State also earning a recent visit. Tulane, Louisiana (Lafayette), ULM, East Carolina and Jackson State are among other recent offers.
No. 29 Bobby Kennedy Bobby Kennedy 6'3" | 180 lbs | ATH John F. Kennedy | 2024 State LA — 6-3, 180 ATH — St. Augustine
Ole Miss extended an offer early last year, and Alabama State and ULM have done so so far this year. LSU, Tulane, Mississippi State, Houston, UTSA, Indiana and Alabama have been among other programs in communication
No. 30 Brennon Thompson Brennon Thompson 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH East Ascension | 2024 State LA — 6-0, 180 ATH — East Ascension
Grambling State and Tulane have been the offers thus far for Thompson. And between those two, LSU, Nicholls State, McNeese State and Southern, many of his strongest recruiting relationships thus far has come from in-state programs, with Mississippi State, Memphis, Missouri, Southern Miss and Troy among others in touch.
