Gets good extension with his arms, locates the football, and does a good job of keeping his shoulders square while he flows toward the play direction. Active with his hands, with relatively advanced technique and a varied rush approach; does a nice job of disengaging. Shows the ability to threaten the edge with speed, with a smooth arc to the passer. Good athlete who closes well and shows range in pursuit.
Really brings it on a snap-to-snap basis; high-intensity player who sets the tone defensively. Fires out of his stance low and typically wins the leverage battle. Has more functional strength and is heavier with his hands than anticipated. Able to create some movement with his bull rush, showing impressive leg drive. Sudden enough out of his stance to threaten gaps. Can knife into the backfield or walk back opposing linemen to create congestion and prevent rushing lanes from materializing. Rangy, high-motor player who pursues out to the sidelines.

Has functional strength commensurate with his size. Consistently walks back single opponents with his bull rush, showing violence and reliable leg drive after engaging. Anchor is excellent. Draws a lot of double-teams from opponents and is nonetheless able to hold his ground; also shows some ability to squeeze through double-teams and create disruption in the backfield. Able to control and discard blockers when needed in the run game. Scrapes down the line with his shoulders square. Shows the ability to make tackles while engaged. Works hard to pursue ball carriers.
Drops an early anchor, generally gets good extension with his arms, and can control blocks and scrape toward the play direction. Disciplined defender whose shoulders are square to the line on almost every snap. Keeps his head up and is able to consistently locate the ball carrier. Likes to hit and has thudding power to set the tone defensively. Power-based rush approach with good leg drive and the lower-body strength to walk back interior linemen and constrain the room quarterbacks have to work with. Regularly overpowers opponents in a phone booth when rushing the passer; a physical mismatch against many OL’s.

Easily able to hold his ground and eat space in the run game. Aggressive bull-rusher with good leg drive. Heavy, violent hands to ragdoll opponents and disengage when two-gapping. Does a pretty good job of trying to skinny through and threaten gaps. Mixes in a swim to try and create disruption in the backfield. Not a one-trick pony on passing downs; mixes in rips and other moves to give some variety to his approach.
