Tyler Arrington, 2024, WR, Wingfield
You can’t talk about speed in Mississippi and not bring up his name. Arrington is super fast with elusive moves. He has been consistently clocked around 10.6 and 10.7 100m dash times. This kid can straight up fly. He is also going to make a name for himself at the track state championship. He won South state and is headed to the big one.
Trevionn Morton Trevionn Morton 6'2" | 190 lbs | DB Wingfield | 2025 State MS , 2025, ATH, Wingfield
Morton is another fast guy. He isn’t quite in the 10s, but his 11.2 at South State was very impressive. Morton is going to continue to get faster. He is a 4.55 40 yard dash guy that makes plays on the football field. He is just a sophomore. I can only imagine how fast he will be by his senior year. Morton is going to be a name to know across the state.
Taboris Childs, Moss Point, ATH, 2024
Childs is a speedster that has been shining this track season. He is headed to state in the 100m and 200m. This young man can straight up fly. I think that he has a great chance to be a defensive back or receiver on the next level. He has the elusive moves to go with that speed.
Craig Carson, McComb, ATH, 2024
Carson can fly as well. He is another guy headed to the semi finals in his respected events. You want see a lot of guys moving the way he does. His speed transfers to the football field. He is an absolute playmaker.
Lekyleron Dancy Lekyleron Dancy 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Noxubee County | 2024 State MS , DB, Noxubee Co, 2024
Dancy won North State in the 100m today. He is a guy that can make it on the division one level. Dancy uses his speed very well at the defensive back position. Dancy has good hips and good feet. He doesn’t have a division one offer yet, but I expect them to come. He is a 4.49 40 yard dash.
