It’s not often that you can come across a 7-on-7 program that deploys three wideouts that can all be in the “Best in New England” discussion. That’s what NY Hustle is bringing to Wilmington, Delaware this weekend. Opposing secondaries are going to have to deal with Mount Pleasant’s Israel Hiraldo Israel Hiraldo 6’0″ | 185 lbs | WR East Coast Prep | 2025 NC , who is currently ranked as a top 25 prospect in his class, top three wideout, as well as David Degraff Rodriguez David Degraff Rodriguez 6’1″ | 160 lbs | ATH St. Frances | 2025 State MD , the top overall player in the class of 2025.
Both Hiraldo and Rodriguez blend athleticism and separation skills the likes many DBs at this event haven’t seen thus far into their careers. Having the Mt. Pleasant duo is enough of a problem, let’s add the second-ranked wideout in New England to the mix. Jourdin Houston Jourdin Houston 6’1″ | 190 lbs | WR St. Thomas More | 2025 State NewE will be forcing safety help each and every play so long as the St. Thomas More wideout is lined up outside the numbers. I know groups at this event that can stay with 1 or 2 of these kids, handling all three is overkill.
The three, who are all listed on roster, can help each other eat, either down the field or underneath, no matter if the field is in man or zone.
The only way you can hope to throttle this trio is to hope the man behind center is having a rough day. Said man will more than likely be Cristian Pinto Cristian Pinto 6’0″ | 180 lbs | QB Monsignor Farrell | 2024 State NY , ranked as the seventh-best passer in his class by Caleb Holfoth. I’m entirely unfamiliar with Pinto or his tape, yet I trust Holfoth’s judgment. Pair the trio with a top-ten passer out of New York and you have what should be one of the more potent 7v7 attacks present this weekend. Here’s what Holfoth had to say on the junior quarterback in a recent post.rn
Souffrin is the only player who was in the Top 10 receiving yards for the CHSFL last season that returns and Pinto looks to take advantage of a large 2023 quarterback class leaving the CHSFL and compete to be the best quarterback in the Catholic League. Pinto is confident throwing in tight windows and does a really good job of using his athleticism and quickness to create off broken plays.

I know about the above trio all too well. They each get plenty of love from PRZ New England. I’m more excited to shed some light on lesser-known, unranked names out of St. Thomas More. Two that fit the mold are junior wideouts Harry Varty and Monroe Corniffe Monroe Corniffe 6'5" | 195 lbs | WR St. Thomas More | 2024 State NewE . Varty has little to no tape on Hudl, so I don’t feel in the wrong for not having him ranked. That being said, that doesn’t mean I still won’t add him to my personal database, especially if he performs well.
Corniffe currently ranks as a top five wideout in his state, adding further fuel to the insane fire started by NY Hustle. Here’s what Roger Silva had to say about him in a recent post.
“Seen as a jump ball star who will high top and win each battle with his length and high level vertical jumping abilities. Sustains blocks and has very good blocking abilities out on the perimeter. Experienced in all phases of route running by knowing when to sink his hips, plant and break away from defender.“
Harry Varty looks like he could impress in this setting, Twitter clips show he can provide a safety valve option for a QB not willing to throw into the defense’s teeth. Who knows, one of these two could eat if the trio aren’t hitting.
