2022 Recap:
It was a tough season for Nativity BVM in 2022, going 3-8 including 1-4 in conference play. They started their season off on a very good foot with a dominant 43-16 victory over Wyalusing Valley. But after that they would lose five of their next six games with a win against Lower Moreland mixed in. Win No.3 of the season would come against Shenandoah Valley in mid-October but they would finish their season on a three-game losing streak against Mahanoy Area, Minersville, Panther Valley.
While it was a tough season for Nativity, it should be known it was a rather young team overall. There’s very few key losses for the Green Wave this offseason and they return most of their key production from last season.

2023 Outlook:
As mentioned above, the Green Wave lose very little key players from last season and return most of their production. That should be a huge benefit for them entering 2023 and with it, they should be a much improved team that has a chance to go .500 and better.
For the Green Wave, quarterback Ben Kreeitzer and running back Samuel Spolski will be especially key for this upcoming season. Kreitzer showed flashes as a sophomore with 1,14 3 passing yards and 11 touchdowns ot just five interceptions but will have to improve his accuracy. Spolski, on the other hand averaged 5.7 yards per carry and totaled six touchdowns on 98 carries. Wide receiver Noah Doblin is another name to keep an eye on, he was tremendous for the Green Wave with 36 receptions for 733 yards and eight touchdowns last fall.
Defensively, Doblin alongside Devon Smith-Grant and Barry Jenkins led the way for the Green Wave. All three are set to return in 2023. Last season, the defense was the strength of the Green Wave and should be once again next fall. If the offense can improve, this should be one of the more improved teams in the state come next season.
