BRADENTON – When you talk about being competitive and ready to showcase their talents, very few areas across the country can compare to the state of Florida.
Under clear skies and bright sunshine, the order of the day at IMG Academy was to showcase talent and to gain valuable exposure.
With college coaches from Warner, Webber and Keiser University on hand, the Prep Redzone Football Showcase made its stop in the Sunshine State, and after three hours of testing and competing, not one prospect was left without having some lasting memories. Coming from as far away as North Carolina, south Florida, north Florida and Florida’s Panhandle, what this Saturday was all about was making sacrifices.
On a day where there were four college spring games, a 100-team 7-on-7 tournament and a number of talent-filled combines, the Prep Redzone event attracted talent who continue to follow the year-round coverage that the website and social media provides.
When all was said and done, seven players were singled out for their play in all phases of the competitive day. Here is a look at those quality players. REMEMBER, WE WILL SPOTLIGHT EVERY PLAYUER WHO ATTENDED OVER THE NEXT WEEK!!!!!
2024 – OL Treaden Henry, OL, 6-5, 290, Community School of Naples. All eyes were on this young man throughout the three hours – not only because of his impressive size, but he dominated his one-on-one competition and was one of the “big men” who stood out during the drills. Great footwork and upper body strength. He is certainly one you will want to watch this spring and summer.
2025 – QB Bjorn Jurgenson, QB, 6-2, 175, Orlando Bishop Moore. They had talked about this quality prospect after spending this season at Orlando Dr. Phillips, but to appreciate him, you need to see what he does in person. Strong and accurate arm, very smart and tested very well. The receivers on hand were happy with the balls he threw, and he threw quite a bit – as all of the quarterbacks did.
2025 – LB Jeremiah McKenzie, 6-2, 175, Starke Bradford County. Here is a player who headed to Florida’s west coast from north Florida, and what he did during the day was enough for the college coaches and those on hand to be convinced that this all-around athlete was indeed someone who will be watched over the next few months. He is one of the top athletes on a team that was among the best in Florida. Tremendous testing numbers and performance during drills.
2025 – DB Lewis King Lewis King 5'11" | 165 lbs | DB Newberry | 2025 FL , 5-10, 140, Newberry.
TAPE: Coming from a program that has quietly produced some elite talent over the past few years, this was easily one of the top performers all day – and no matter if it was during the test, drills or one-on-one competition, he was singled out and called out to cover some of the best that took part. This is yet another gifted football talent to keep an eye on this coming season, and we will continue to update his progress. He will have film in the spring, so we will certainly get that out to you.
2026 – WR Julius Miles Julius Miles 6'6" | 200 lbs | RB Freeport | 2026 FL , 6-3, 155, Bradenton IMG Academy. We can honestly say this without hesitation. REMEMBER THIS YOUNG MAN’S NAME! How about a prospect, who attends IMG Academy and plays defensive back, stealing the show as a pass-catcher. His speed, size, leaping ability and gift of getting open and performing well in testing and drills made this impressive athlete a must watch all day. Like King, he will have his film during spring, so expect to be bowled over.
2024 – DL Zyon Nobles, DL, 6-4, 240, Tampa Wharton. High energy, quick, strong, passionate and someone who loves this game. The coaches could not be any happier with the effort and athleticism he showed during testing, drills and the one-on-one events where he was unstoppable against some impressive and quality offensive linemen. This is not the last time you will hear this name this coming season.
2024 – RB Cory Sanders, RB, 5-8, 170, Bradenton Manatee. While combines and camps are usually not geared to showcasing a running back’s talents, there are those certain things that make you understand what he is all about. A tremendous tester, who did well on drills and proved to be a quality receiver out of the backfield. Not only does he have running skills to fall back on, but he is also someone who has played several positions in the defensive secondary.
