Pennsylvania Offseason Progam Outlooks: Mahanoy Area Golden Bears

They started their season off with a 3-0 record before dropping four of their next five games. They'd, however, recover to end the season, winning their last two regular season games before losing to Northern Lehigh 30-7 in the playoffs. The offense wasn't overly dominant averaging just 24 points per game but their defense was strong, allowing just 18.2 points on average. Returning Colm McGoarty is big for the Golden Bears as he gives them a chance to win any given night. Replacing quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='248805' first='Ben' last='Manley'] will be tough for the Golden Bears and it's unclear at this moment whose their likely starting quarterback next season. Defensively, they should be once again among the best in the Colonial-Schuylkill Blue division next fall. Overall expect the Golden Bears to once again be a quality team in the Colonial-Schuylkill and be vying for a playoff spot once again. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
