The Bulldogs are coming off a very strong 2022 season that saw them go 10-2 including 6-1 in Colonial-Schuylkill lead play, earning a second place finish only behind Williams Valley.
They got off to a terrific start to the season, winning their first nine games before falling to Williams Valley 21-14 in late October. They would knock Minersville out in their opening playoff game before falling the following week to Northern Lehigh.
Offensively, they were led by the likes of Kameron Wetzel Kameron Wetzel 5'10" | 175 lbs | DB Tri-Valley | 2023 State PA and Jake Scheib on the ground as they combined for 1,503 yards and 21 touchdowns. Reece Hutzinger added an additional near 400-yards on the ground. Hutzinger also led them defensively with 126 tackles.
Overall, the Bulldogs averaged 29.7 points per game offensively while only allowing 12.6 points on average.

These are only a few of their returnees and by no means the only “key” players.

FB Kash Tobin
2023 Outlook:
Tri Valley is in a very tricky spot entering the 2023 season as they were a very senior ladened team this past year. Most of the key returners in skill positions recorded limited stats last season. Blake Schwartz Blake Schwartz 6'6" | 180 lbs | DL Tri-Valley | 2025 State PA , the anticipated starter at this moment, didn’t record any stats last year, neither did Hunter Troutman or Braeden Doyle. Head coach Jeff Sampson will certainly have a challenge on his hands in camp in getting the younger kids on the team ready. That being said, under Sampson the Bulldogs have consistently been a tough, very good team and that remains the expectation in 2023.
