Head Coach: Mark Evans
Manheim Township went 9-4 last year and lost to Harrisburg in the 6A District 3 Championship game. Townships’ 3 losses in the regular season were to Cumberland Valley by 4 points, Hempfield by 3 points and 6 points to Wilson. Township was a few plays away from going undefeated in the regular season. Township then avenged its defeat to Hempfield by trouncing them 42-7 on the road at Hempfield and beating Cumberland Valley the week before to avenge their week 1 loss. Township eventually lost to a loaded Harrisburg team, but going 9-4 with a District Championship game was a good season for them.
Coaching Update:
Mark Evans was hired in 2012 after a successful stint as Head Coach at Elco. Over the last 11 years, Township has consistently been one of the best programs in the Lancaster-Lebanon League and District 3. Evans has also coached numerous players who went on to play College Football. He has elevated the program to higher standards and they continue to be one of the best programs. Evans has won 3 Lancaster-Lebanon Section 1 Titles as Head Coach of the Blue Streaks. He has also won 1 6A District 3 Title winning it in 2017. Evans has done a nice job and has elevated the program to a higher level.
Quote From Hayden Johnson Hayden Johnson 6'1" | 195 lbs | QB Manheim Township | 2024 State PA QB:
“Last year was definitely an up and down year, it was overall a pretty successful season. We had so many guys set up and do the job they needed for us to be successful. Our team suffered multiple injuries, but we still persevered and made it to the 2nd District Championship Game in School History. Our 2 playoff wins against CV Hempfield were definitely the highlights of the year. Beating the 2 teams we lost to previously in the regular season. Last year was awesome and we are looking even better next year”.
