The 2026 rankings will be updated shortly, and here we look at the best Offensive and Defensive lineups we could put on the field as of right now, within the Northwest. There is so much yet to be determined when it comes to current freshman, that this list and the rankings will change greatly in the months and years ahead as things play out.
Offensive Analysis:
Oregon has the advantage on Offense, very similar to Washington on D. The QB spot is truly up in the air, but we lean with Legend Galeai Legend Galeai 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Lakes | 2026 State WA who was the starter for a good Lakes team as a freshman. The RBs are led by one of the nation’s top athletes for the 2026 class in Ansu Sanoe Ansu Sanoe 6'2" | 210 lbs | RB Lakeridge | 2026 State OR . With continued progression he will be offered by everyone, literally. Across the lake you will see Lamarcus Bell Lamarcus Bell 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Lake Oswego | 2026 State OR be the guy for a talented & young LO team.
Rainier Beach has a pair of standouts in Oteko Mwamba Oteko Mwamba 5'9" | 170 lbs | ATH Rainier Beach | 2026 State WA and Damari King Damari King 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Rainier Beach | 2026 State WA with legit film from their freshman season. Look for both to be heavily recruited, with Mwamba already earning 2nd team all conference honors.
The ATH/WR position is incredibly intriguing with a host of athletes who project as multi offer power 5 guys. As of right now Tristan Baker Tristan Baker 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH Lakes | 2026 State WA of Lakes HS is the only one with a D1 offer but that won’t last long. Sam Vyhlidal Sam Vyhlidal 6'4" | 200 lbs | ATH Mountainside | 2026 State OR will lead one of the fastest rising programs in Oregon at Mountainside HS, while projecting as a conference and state POY candidate on both sides of the football. West Salem’s Evan Wusstig Evan Wusstig 6'0" | 175 lbs | ATH West Salem | 2026 State OR is the brother of PSU commit Zach Wusstig Zach Wusstig 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH Jefferson Highschool | 2023 OR , and will be one of the best in Oregon also.
At WR separate from Baker, Braxton Singleton Braxton Singleton 6'2" | 205 lbs | WR North Salem | 2026 State OR of North Salem will be a major D1 prospect. Look for Pac 12s and others to potentially go on him as early as this summer. Many aren’t aware of Rasean Jones Rasean Jones 6'2" | 195 lbs | WR Baker | 2026 State OR playing at 4A Baker, but he earned all-state honors as a freshman and recorded the nation’s #1 hurdle time among 8th graders, just to put his speed into perspective. Speaking of speed, look for West Linn’s Silas Reynolds Silas Reynolds 6'3" | 185 lbs | ATH West Linn | 2026 State OR to be a major division 1 recruit. He will be a 6A state track champ as well.
The TE spot is undetermined, but Brennan Mesa Brennan Mesa 6'3" | 240 lbs | DL South Albany | 2026 State OR has been a standout at the TE/DE position coming up through the youth ranks.
On the line look for Kodi Greene Kodi Greene 6'6" | 290 lbs | OL Mater Dei | 2026 State CA to potentially be one of the nation’s top ranked 26’s. He brings a lot to the table you can’t teach, in combination with his size and overall athleticism. Joe Weiler Joe Weiler 6'6" | 245 lbs | OL Lakeridge | 2026 State OR and Quinn Wicklow Quinn Wicklow 6'7" | 220 lbs | OL Jesuit | 2026 State OR are both kids with great size, from good programs, that could foreseeably blow up in the coming years. Both could end up at different positions or on the other side of the ball.
