2022 Season Recap
It was a season of ups and downs for the Crimson Tide who went 5-6 including 4-4 in conference play. They would start their season off slow but with a tough schedule as well losing three of their first four including losses to Jersey Shore and Wyomissing, two of the best teams in the state. They would pick up their first win against Lehighton in week three.
After the 1-3 start, the Crimson Tide would go on to win three of their next four games before losing two of three to finish off their season against Southern Lehigh, north Schuylkill, and Big Spring.
Considering that they had quite the tough schedule with Jersey Shore, Wyomissing, Southern Lehigh, and North Schuylkill all on their schedule among others, it was overall a quality season for Pottsville with plenty of positives to build on.

2023 Season Outlook
Pottsville is losing several key players this offseason including WR Joey Palko Joey Palko 6'4" | 225 lbs | TE Pottsville | 2023 State PA who is walking on at Penn State but returns a talented group of juniors. and seniors for the 2023 season. Playing in one of the toughest divisions of the Colonial-Schuylkill Conference they’ll always have a tougher schedule to deal with but with the key players that they are returning in the likes of Parrish McFarland, Brandon Zelwalk and others they’ll have a chance to put together a really nice season. It will be intriguing to see how Kole Becker does as the starting quarterback this upcoming season for Pottsville. Last season, he attempted just 11 passes for 102 yards and one touchdown.
Overall, the Crimson Tide has always been a quality team, especially under head coach Tom McGeoy. Every program goes through some up-and-down seasons over time, and it seems likely that the Crimson Tide will be in for a nice bounce-back season. Don’t be surprised if they’re in the top half of their division this fall.
