Continue ReadingUp in today’s offseason outlook is the Blue Mountain Eagles coming off a winning season and a fourth-place finish in the Colonial-Schuylkill Gold Divison. The Eagles were led by a great defense, allowing just 17.2 points a game, and a solid offense that averaged 22 points a contest this past fall. Over the course of the season, they picked up wins over most teams that they should have but had a tougher time against some of the top programs in the conference such as North Schuylkill, Northwestern Leihgh, Southern Lehigh, and Saucon Valley. Their season would come to an end in the playoffs with a 41-16 loss to Bethlehem Catholic.
The Blue Eagles are set to enter their fourth season under head coach Tom Gallagher who in his first few seasons has seen his program get better and better in conference play while achieving his first over .500 record this past fall. They’ll look to another step this upcoming season as well.

2023 Season Outlook
Blue Mountain does lose some key pieces above but overall returns all the makings of what should be a talented roster this fall. OT Trevor Manbeck Trevor Manbeck OL Blue Mountain | 2024 State PA is someone I’m personally intrigued by quite a bit, he’s listed at 6-foot-3 and 270ish pounds. Overall, the Eagles should once again be a competitive team in the Colonial-Schuylkill Gold division and be in the mix for a playoff spot next fall.
Overall, Blue Mountain has always been a quality program and while they have had some struggles over the last few years, is still a school that is producing quality talent on a regular basis. Head coach Tom Gallagher has the program headed in the right direction as well, no doubt in our mind.
