There were a good amount of talented prospects in this position group also. Each prospect got sufficient reps to showcase their skills. The following prospects caught the college coaches attention who coached the position and mine collectively, as the top prospects amongst the Linebacker group.
Christian Pacheco Christian Pacheco 6’1″ | 225 lbs | LB Marblehead | 2024 State New E He was my favorite performer on the day. His performance on the day earned him Most Valuable Player accolades. His frame brings attention to his skill set and surely passes the eye test. His lateral movement was fluid and quick. He did a nice job with dropping into coverage and displayed excellent cover awareness, transition quickness and ball skills. He reads and reacts quickly. He brings a high level of strength at point of attack. Has very good balance and ankle flexibility. Has an obvious burst in his skill set. I project him as a Div 1 recruit with a high ceiling who will be busy this spring with college coach visits and future summer camp invites.
Highlights
Liam Gannon Liam Gannon 5’11” | 200 lbs | LB Dover H.S. NH. | 2024 State New E His speed popped on the day. He can move laterally and his movement is quick and fluid. He is a very hard worker and was focused throughout the day on his technical aspect of his game. He did everything with a motor. Displayed the desire to want to compete. He will fight the battle of 5’11” at the linebacker position but his skill set can’t be ignored. He has a compact muscular build to his frame and has obvious strength at the point of attack. He can read quickly and move out of his stance with quick initial steps. He can fire downhill when reacting to run. Had a very strong performance,
Brayden Hickman Brayden Hickman 6’0″ | 185 lbs | ATH Souhegan | 2025 New E He was aggressive the entire day. His reaction skills are of higher caliber. Performed with confidence during all competition drills. Has a prototypical frame to work with for the linebacker position with more room for growth and development. His coverage skills is where he shined on the day. He has good athletic coordination with loose hips and has length in his arms. Hickman is a sleeper prospect right now who should get a good amount of future college camp invites to solidify his athletic skill set and potential future scholarship opportunities.
Lucas Guay Lucas Guay 5’11” | 175 lbs | LB Westfiled H.S. Ma. | 2025 State New E Another prospect who showed very good speed throughout the day. I personally had an unofficial 40yrd time for him at 4.69 and I also observed him perform a 9-foot 9 inch Broad Jump. His combine numbers also matched his performance on the day. He can close quickly on outside runs. Appears to play more downhill for run support than a coverage defender. Has good initial burst. He showed good toughness and motor all day. We had him with DB’s as he plays strong safety for his high school team. He participated in the linebackers position group where he did a good job performing the drills. I project he could be recruited as a safety from a skill standpoint and maybe grow to move in the box at ILB. He does fit the ILB mold.
