Rotimi Olayinka
Rotimi Olayinka
Olayinka knows how to make himself skinny when getting through gaps. Majority of his big plays came from pure effort and awareness, and knowing how to get to the quarterback with great quickness. Olayinka plays fast and does not second guess his moves. He has excellent reach which helped him keep containment and chase down plays. Olayinka is primed for a great season next year so make sure to highlight his name!
Cody Ford
Cody Ford
Long frame with a relentless pursuit, Ford showed that he knows how to get to the ball and make plays. He gets his shoulders turned and squared to the quarterback, and does not stop until the quarterback is down. Ford fights through blocks, violently shedding them, and chasing plays down. He is physical at the point of attack with a very good punch and seems to always find his way into the backfield.
Calvin Kalu-Alexander
Calvin Kalu-Alexander
Alexander shows straight power and strength in his game. He overpowers all blockers and has the lateral speed to get down the line and make tackles for minimal gains. When engaged, Alexander fights through blocks with much aggression and works his way to the ball. He showed a quick get off paired with good hands which helped him shed blockers with ease. Alexander’s play can impact an entire game when he’s on. He is definitely a player to keep watch for.
Kyran Duhon
Kyran Duhon
Duhon’s speed is key to his game. With a quick first step and great use of his hands, Duhon gets around blockers and finds the ball. He showed a great push pull move, getting blockers off balance, and using his quickness to get by them. He excels at his job of containment, setting the edge and allowing nothing outside of him. Duhon is quick on the inside moves where he looks almost unblockable and makes a living in the backfield. He will be an exciting player to watch next season!
Pierre Yamba
Pierre Yamba
Yamba is a relentless player who plays with a chip. He is a very active player who gets involved on almost every play. Yamba can move to the inside as well as set the edge, and have an impact on the game. He plays fast, with a great motor, and plays with much physicality. Yamba leaves it all on the field when he is playing and his numbers show it. He plays on the other side of the line of scrimmage causing many negative plays.
Charles Anderson
Charles Anderson
At 6’7, Anderson’s length and reach gives him a major advantage on the field. He presses blockers off, reads the play, and locates the ball. Anderson sheds blocks violently and does a very good job of redirecting to the ball. He is quick down the line and is lets very little out of his grasp. Anderson will be watched closely next season and his development this offseason will be key.
Le’kell McGowan
Le’kell McGowan
McGowen is an excellent rusher off the edge, using speed and power to get around tackles and find his way to quarterbacks. He has great hands, fighting blockers off of him and using his speed as his top advantage. He is physical at the point of attack and fights his way through blocks on his way to the ball. McGowen’s get off is one to see in passing situations. He is a nightmare on 3rd and longs and can change a game with his efforts late game. McGowen can be a top name out of the area with his play and will be a player on a lot of lists.
