Has clean footwork and adequate balance on his backpedal. Provides pretty tight man coverage on routes across the field; fast enough to stick with many opponents on crosses and over routes. Squeezes receivers when defending on outside releases from the short side. Good timing and technique to go for the breakup when targeted. Has a pretty solid closing burst to get back in-phase, with impressive length.
Feisty and competitive player with a good temperament. Shows some attention to detail with his footwork and can match releases effectively at the line. Quick reflexes allow him to stay in-phase when working in man coverage. Patiently diagnoses route combinations from zone, with appropriate risk management. Burst when planting and driving on a spot is impressive, and has some ball-hawking tendencies. Able to bait quarterbacks into throws from zone and close on them to make plays.

Has surprisingly good coordination and quick feet for a player his size, doing a good job of matching releases at the line from press. Knows how to leverage his size to pin opponents to the boundary. Smooth athlete with the speed to carry opponents down the sidelines from man. Uses his length well to feel routes developing and stay connected. Disciplined with his eyes. Shows the ability to process route combinations from zone. Willing to stick his nose in and get physical in the run game, with effective wrap tackling technique; diagnoses run plays quickly and gets involved.

Quick, clean footwork and adequate balance on his backpedal, with solid transitions to driving on a spot. Flips his hips smoothly to carry opponents downfield from his backpedal. Appears to have solid reflexes and some twitchiness to his game. Closing burst to get in-phase is impressive. Sniffs out screens quickly. Shows some ability to spin off of blocks in run support.
Pretty quick feet to match releases at the line. Uses his hands to feel routes when playing man. Generally does a good job of keeping the play in front of him. Flashes the ability to process route combinations from zone and break off of his man to come down and contest a throw or make a quick tackle underneath. Overall flexibility is good. Pretty clean transitions to driving on a spot. Impressive length allows him to break up some passes even when he’s not in ideal position to make a play on the ball.
