Continue ReadingExcellent combination of toughness, snap-to-snap consistency, and work rate. Has plenty of short-area athleticism to execute zone-blocking concepts. Low pad level and strong leg drive after contact to generate push. Resets hands effectively. Works hard to sustain through the whistle and takes advantages of opportunity to finish opponents. Form in pass sets looks good, with a sound stance, solid knee bend, and a straight back; consistently plays within his frame. Nice lateral quickness to protect the edge against speed or defend against inside moves; avoids overcommitting to stopping the speed rush.

Functioned as a deep threat on both inside and outside releases. Gets even with defenders off the snap and has some snap to his routes, getting through the stem without gearing down too much. Physical, tough player who’s willing to work over the middle of the field and absorb contact. Has a pretty strong pair of hands. Excellent body control and flexibility to adjust to throws away from his frame. Nice awareness near the sidelines. Is capable of climbing the ladder and coming down with high throws.

Patient enough to wait for lanes to open, and awareness is good enough to recognize cutback opportunities. Footwork is adequate to shuffle into lanes when running downhill; occasionally able to sidestep penetration and salvage plays. Gets up to speed relatively quickly and runs behind his pads. Powerful enough to run though arm tackles once he gets going. Finishes runs and exacts a price from defenders who tackle him.
Has clean footwork on his dropbacks, standing tall and looking composed in the pocket. Gets the ball out on time when running quick game. Shows the ability to come off his primary read and hit the checkdown. Pretty sound decision-maker who avoids unnecessary risks; shows discipline and patience. Throws a catchable ball with appropriate touch. Overall ball placement is good, facilitating yards after the catch. Able to anticipate and make some bucket throws downfield, with plenty of air under the football.
