Here is a look at four quarterbacks who should be leading offensive huddles as seniors in the fall of 2023.
William Dorsey, 6’2”, 168, Wellsville
Dorsey checks all the boxes for what scouts look for in pocket passers; solid footwork, patience, a big arm, and great size. He threw for 1,838 yards and 25 touchdowns during his junior season at Wellsville. He is a pass-first quarterback as he rushed for just 154 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Dorsey is also a consistent scorer on the basketball court and could be recruited to play both sports.
Tra Mack Tra Mack 5'11" | 155 lbs | QB Parsons | 2024 State KS , 5’11”, 150, Parsons
Parson has been producing talented quarterbacks over the past few years. Next in line for Viking quarterbacks to be recruited to play college is Tra Mack Tra Mack 5'11" | 155 lbs | QB Parsons | 2024 State KS . Mack is a two-year starter who will be looking to improve on the solid numbers from his sophomore and junior campaigns in 2023. Mack threw for 1,375 yards and 20 touchdowns during the 2022 season. His touchdown numbers improved from his 2021 season, while his passing yardage went down. Mack will look to cut down the total number of interceptions thrown, which was 14 in 2022.
Braeden Primeaux, 5’10”, 190, Concordia
Primeaux has an awesome last name for a football player and the skills to go with it. He is more of a dual-threat quarterback than the first two guys in this report. He rushed for 307 yards and six touchdowns while playing behind center. The Concordia junior threw for 774 yards and three touchdowns. Concordia played out of a spread offense with Primeaux in shotgun. He sees down the field well and finds open receivers.
Aiden McKinsey, 5’8”, 140, Royal Valley
McKinsey will look to improve off his junior season numbers that included 521 yards passing and six touchdowns through the air. He can throw the deep ball and is a tough quarterback to wrap up. Like several small school athletes, he plays multiple sports. McKinsey is an accomplished 3-point shooter for Royal Valley.
