Today, we’re looking at which 2024 prospects are beginning to emerge as the season inches closer. These young men have displayed some intriguing traits on film and could take a big step this fall. This summer will be a crucial piece to their recruitment as they prepare for the 2023 season. Their offer lists may be small right now, but that could change in a hurry.

DT: Bennett Williams, 6’4″ 265, Princeton
A charged-up defensive tackle prospect that is slippery through double teams and plays with a non-stop motor. Williams is strong at the point of attack, can create knockback on 1 on 1 blocks, and can easily disengage to provide run support. The size and upper body strength are there, I think if he continues to work on his first step the sky is the limit.
TE: Aiden Moriarty Aiden Moriarty 6'4" | 240 lbs | TE Oswego East | 2024 State IL 6’4″ 225, Oswego East
A pure hands catcher with a nasty side to him. Aiden has a ton of pop behind his punch, is a consistent intermediate threat, and has outstanding body control for a man his size. He’s a firm blocker in space and is someone you don’t wanna see coming at you as a swiper on split zone.
DB: Khalil Nichols, 5’11” 160, Oak Park-River Forest
An instinctive playmaker with exceptional ball skills. Nichols is comfortable playing man in the slot, has great route recognition in zone, and overall impressive top-end speed. His feet stay within the framework on his breaks and he’s a more than willing tackler when running the alley.
LB: Cooper Caraway, 6’3″ 225, Normal Community
Reads his open guard and triggers at a moment’s notice. Cooper has great size for a mike linebacker, can fight through first-level blocks as a blitzer, and limits cutback opportunities with his angles to the tackle. His short area quickness gives 2nd level blockers issues and he does an adequate job scraping down the line.
DE: Dexter Niekamp Dexter Niekamp 6'4" | 220 lbs | DL Normal Community | 2024 State IL 6’4″ 220, Normal
Controls tackles as a rusher and can detach & come off for almost effortless sacks. He’s got an outstanding first step, retraces in his rush lane if he’s too far upfield, and consistently chases the football downfield. He shows a violent dip & rip and can get skinny on inside twists and stunts.
