Highlights
Tommy Borgia
Tommy Borgia
An impressive freshman has made the list. Tommy Borgia of West Morris is going to become a name those in Liberty White will get more familiar with in the upcoming years. Playing on the edge on the defensive line, Tommy has the size of most upperclassmen already. He used that size in 2022 to shake blockers off of him. Reeling inn 20 tackles, 5 for a loss, and 2 sacks, Tommy may see a double digit sack season in the future. 3 more years of varsity play will have Tommy hearing from some big time programs throughout the nation.

Anthony Skawinski Anthony Skawinski 5’6″ | 150 lbs | QB Roxbury | 2024 NJ made second team all division for Roxbury in 2022. As a junior, he totaled over 1000 yards (676 passing and 340 rushing.) A true duel threat, he was able to pass for 6 touchdowns and run for another 3. Most impressive, Anthony didn’t have any interceptions on the season. A reliable QB, Anthony looks to lead Roxbury to another winning season in 2023.
Sam Rizzuto
Sam Rizzuto
Sam Rizzuto of West Morris is on the up and up. The soon to be senior showed flashes of excellence in 2022 on both sides of the ball. As a runner, he has quick acceleration to break the hole and outrun the defenders. Defensively, he accumulated 45 total tackles as he helped West Morris with a dominant campaign (12-1 on the season). Sam has a smaller stature than other runners, but he is extremely quick and can navigate through traffic well. Sam played behind a loaded backfield last fall, so 2023 will bring more opportunities as West Morris continues their success.
Jesse Wilfong
Jesse Wilfong
Jesse Wilfong is the final player to make the Division Returners list, however, he is probably the player I am most excited about within this division. The running back for Randolph is another back that already has a lot of qualities college programs are looking for. Good size and also a receiving threat, Jesse can be nightmarish to defenses.
Jesse is a very balanced runner. He can carve in and out of defenses and turn on the afterburners in open space. He forces defenses to take poor angles on his runs. What stands out the most from Jesse’s play is his tendency to keep churning until his body hits the ground. He is going to fight for every inch, and is always ready to throw a stiff arm or lower the shoulder. Running for 625 yards and 8 touchdowns, don’t be surprised if Jesse surpasses 1000 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023.
