Luke Delzingaro
Looks to be a more natural fit at linebacker rather than at FB/RB. FB/RB reps are limited, although I can see the value of Delzingaro providing FB reps. He’s got the north-and-south approach you’d want in a fullback, zero fear to hit a hole on either side of the football. Like the instincts displayed out of the soon-to-be senior linebacker. Solid ability to recognize and diagnose the run after the snap. Great clean-up tackler. Again, not hesitant and unafraid to meet even the best backs in the hole. Not sure if I’d rank him off this tape, would love to see more.
Here’s a defensive lineman I’m excited about. Lean in the trenches, 6’2, 215-pound build. A wrestling and baseball prospect to boot, John Wright John Wright 6’2″ | 215 lbs | DL Abington | 2025 State PA is a 2025 Abington sophomore prospect that I’m excited to get ranked. His build and success away from the field leave me intrigued, his tape still leaves some meat on the bone from a sheer quantity perspective. Not from a quality point of view, however, this kid is causing sacks, and coming away with TFLs. Wright looks much further along in tech than I expected, good hand usage at the beginning of his reps, position versatility. Good get-off, motor revving from what I can tell. Fully expect him to continue his work on special teams next Fall too. Something special could be blossoming here.
A name I’ll keep my eye on moving forward. I figure the staff at Cheltenham knows a thing or two about how to develop big, athletic defensive linemen. Here’s a freshman who could see an uptick in reps with Kion Wright Kion Wright 6’3″ | 235 lbs | DL Cheltenham | 2023 State PA moving on. Elijah Burnley Elijah Burnley 6’4″ | 270 lbs | DL Cheltenham | 2026 State PA is a 6’4, 230-pound EDGE/IDL prospect that I’m excited to see more out of. He’s a prime candidate to catch eyes/looks from coaches who might be visiting Sharlandiin Strange at Cheltenham HS. There’s still so little of him game out there so this could be a stretch. Would love to see him in the weight room, as well as more than two sacks on tape. We are early, will check back in near August/September.
Musyn Dennis
Musyn Dennis
Here’s A rare Harriton prospect that is sure to end up on our ranks this coming update. Slight frame, don’t be swayed by the numbers, self-listing at 5’10, 160 pounds. The Harriton Defensive Player of the Year earned that title after his sophomore campaign. Great production out of Musyn Dennis, 70 total tackles, 5 TFLs, 2 INTs, 2 sacks. The line of production runs long, he shows up in different areas yet primaries as a MLB. He’s a timely blitzer, closes in on the ball carrier well, hardly false steps. Dennis has a rep where he reads and plays a wheel route perfectly, showing off his ability to both understand route concepts and play the football in pass coverage. I’m not sure where he gets all the thump from, he’s causing multiple fumbles on tape. He’s an opportune linebacker who can affect the game each and every snap. Excited to tell coaches about this young man.
Rahnij McAliley
Rahnij McAliley
Here’s another new name I expect to be ranked next update. Rahnij McAliley out of Lower Merion HS. The junior falls under the powerful/beefier end of the defensive line spectrum. 6’2, 250 pounds, McAliley wins more times than not with sheer power. He’s got a ways to go in terms of athleticism and hand usage, which is why I think he might be better suited to be kicked inside at the next level, yet the young man is producing well at multiple positions nonetheless. Throw in some right tackle reps too. Great ability to clog holes even if he isn’t creating penetration. A hard kid to displace.
Zion Gray
Zion Gray
Zion Gray’s junior tape has him lining up against some of the better wideouts District 1 had to offer last Fall. Some names include Ridley’s Stephenson and Upper Dublin’s Cerisier. Zion Gray stood up to the challenge, he’s got the physique and technique to do so. 6’0, 165 pounds, Gray carries this build while possessing great run-pass recognition. He plays butt-to-sideline a bit, yet can run and track the football when attacked vertically. Surprised me in run support, he’s not afraid to get after it. Closes the 15-yard gap to attack ball carriers in the flat in a hurry. Would like to see him play more press, less eyes on the QB too. This is a quality, rankable corner nonetheless.
