From Deshaun Watson, to Trevor Lawrence, to Myles Murphy, Vic Burley, and many more, the Tigers are always able to recruit the state of Georgia as well as any program in the country.
The Tigers are off to a tremendous start in Georgia already for the 2024 class with four early peach-state commitments.
Hevin Brown-Shuler Hevin Brown-Shuler 6'5" | 270 lbs | DL Pace Academy | 2024 State GA – DT – Pace Academy
Clemson’s newest peach-state commitment, Brown-Shuler is a productive, compact defensive lineman and one of the very best defenders in Atlanta out of Pace eAcademy. A versatile defensive lineman who will likely play on the interior at Clemson, Brown-Shuler is a big 6-foot-4 290-pounder who does a good job of pushing opposing offensive linemen backwards off the snap and making things difficult for running backs who find a hole to run through between the tackles. He brings plenty of size and can overpower most offensive linemen he goes up against at the high school level. He’s been a major F1 prospect for most of his high school career and chose the Tigers this week over South Carolina, Michigan, among others. He was a long-time Clemson target and the staff is happy to have him on board.
Noah Dixon Noah Dixon 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Troup County | 2024 State GA – Safety – Troup County
One of the top defenders across West Georgia, the playmaking versatile defender can play safety, nickel, or some possible linebacker at the next level if given an opportunity. A natural playmaker, Dixon stands at 6-foot-2 185-pounds and committed to the Tigers back on January 30th. He’s a dynamic two-way player for thee Tigers, but his ability to close in coverage down the field will make him a weapon in Clemson’s secondary when the time comes. He has size, quickness, natural instincts in coverage, and he knows how to secure a big tackle against the run as well. Ranked as the No. 21 prospect in Georgia, Dixon gives the Tigers one of the top safety prospects in Georgia for the 2024 class. Look for Dixon to help lead Troup County for another outstanding season in 2023 before heading off to Clemson next year.
David Eziomume David Eziomume 6'0" | 200 lbs | RB North Cobb | 2024 State GA – RB– North Cobb
The Tigers love dipping into the peach-state to find their next great running back, and they have another top peach=state back on the way in North Cobb standout, David Eziomume David Eziomume 6'0" | 200 lbs | RB North Cobb | 2024 State GA . One of the breakout backs in all of North Georgia and across the state for the 2024 class, Eziomume may have had to share plenty of carries last fall, but could be in a position to lead the Warriors on the ground as a senior next fall. He’s a shifty, explosive back with breakaway speed, and that’s exactly what the Tigers are looking for in their future running backs. He shows good vision, burst, and can hit his top speed in a hurry. If defenders don’t take the correct angles, Eziomume is going to take off down the field for a big gain. He also brings a pass-catching presence, making him a threat in multiple ways for his current North Cobb team. The big 6-foot-1 200-pounder is one of the top overall running backs in Georgia, and he’s going to bring plenty of speed to the Clemson Tiger offense in 2024.
Champ Thompson Champ Thompson 6'3" | 255 lbs | DL Meadowcreek | 2024 State GA – DT – Meadowcreek
One of the top defensive tackle prospects in Georgia for the 2024 class, the Gwinnett County standout will bring a big, physical presence to the Tiger defensive line starting in 2024. A run-stuffing interior lineman, Thompson is also promising pass-rusher from the inside who can create havoc on the quarterback up the middle or on the edge. He has an excellent frame at 6-foot-3 275-pounds with the ability to put even more mass and muscle before getting to Clemson. He’s quick off thee ball, uses his hands well to get off blocks, and shows a great motor to the ball-carrier. He has the ability to both stop the run and rush the quarterback from multiple spots on the line, and that’s what makes him one of the best overall defensive linemen in Georgia. The Tigers develop defensive lineman as well as anyone, and they think a lot of Thompson and his natural talent.
