The rankings update are a great way to introduce new names to the recruiting circuit, with tens to hundreds of new players making their first appearances. However, with so many names, it’s not uncommon for some names to slip through the cracks. It could be for a number of reasons, including not having tape on the player or sometimes just losing track of names.
We are here to right our wrongs and introduce you to 5 players (4-2024 & 1-2025) that will definitely be making it onto our next updates.
Ryker Evans Ryker Evans 6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH Hi-Line | 2024 State NE | 2024 | ATH | Hi-Line | 6’0″ 170 lbs
One of the top athletes in the 8-man ranks, Ryker Evans Ryker Evans 6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH Hi-Line | 2024 State NE , already has Division 1 coaches looking his way. Evans recently received his first offer from Air Force Academy. Evans is a versatile athlete that could play either running back or receiver at the next level. He possesses great speed with a 4.49-40 time, and it’s clear to see it on tape. Ryker does a great job identifying lanes and then exploding through them with his breakaway speed. He’s very elusive with quick twitch and change of direction. Evans also displayed great balance in his runs, able to stay upright while breaking through tackles. Solid receiver as well, he was a vertical threat that can blow defenders away at the line of scrimmage and track the deep ball. He was also a dangerous return man that is a threat to break off a big return on any given kick. Get the ball in his hands and let him create! Definitely needs to be on the next update.
Aidan Skradis Aidan Skradis 6'3" | 180 lbs | ATH Elkhorn South | 2024 State NE | 2024 | WR/DB | Elkhorn South | 6’3″ 180 lbs
Elkhorn South has come out of the gate HOT with prospects picking up offers. The latest Storm product to pick up an offer is WR/DB Aidan Skradis Aidan Skradis 6'3" | 180 lbs | ATH Elkhorn South | 2024 State NE , who received a bid from Air Force Academy. Skradis is going to be a key piece in a loaded skill positions group. Skradis’ tall frame and athleticism project him as a solid outside receiving option for QB Rauner. His biggest asset is his lengthy frame, allowing him to take advantage of size matchups. Skradis isn’t just a size receiver as he knows how to create separation from defenders and can take expose soft underneath zones. At cornerback, he shows solid change of direction and quick instincts when diagnosing the play. Aidan uses his hands very well and can break up passes at the catch point. With a bigger role coming his way in 2023, I’m expecting Aidan to make a big splash this season.
Jarrett Behrends | 2025 | QB | Norris | 6’2″ 195 lbs
Somehow this big-time arm talent slipped through the cracks of our 2025 rankings. In only his sophomore season, Jarrett Behrends already looks like a star in the making. Jarrett has great QB size at 6’2″ 195 lbs, as he stands tall in the pocket and can deliver the ball to all levels of the field. One thing that really stands out is his ability to think and throw on the run. He stays analyzing the field while rolling out to buy more time for his receivers and showed decent accuracy on the run. He has a quick release and can put a ton of zip on the ball. His tape also showed a lot of deep balls with excellent touch and placement. Jarrett will go into his junior year with lots of varsity experience and great targets around him.
Aden Morris Aden Morris 6'4" | 240 lbs | DL Bellevue West | 2024 State NE | 2024 | DE/TE | Bellevue West | 6’4″ 240 lbs
The Thunderbirds have a pair of DL prospects that we somehow missed on previous 2024 rankings. Aden Morris Aden Morris 6'4" | 240 lbs | DL Bellevue West | 2024 State NE did a good job in his limited role during his junior year. He finished the season with 16 tackles, four tackles for loss, a sack, and a forced fumble. Morris looked good at defensive end, showing off nice lateral quickness and his ability to provide pressure off the edge. He has a great motor with a tireless pursuit of the ball. The Thunderbirds could also look at him as an option at tight end. I’m excited to see a bigger sample of Aden’s game either this summer or next season.
Chris Lawson Chris Lawson 6'4" | 290 lbs | DL Bellevue West | 2024 State NE | 2024 | DL | Bellevue West | 6’3″ 290 lbs
Another Thunderbird prospect that somehow got lost in the shuffle is DL Chris Lawson Chris Lawson 6'4" | 290 lbs | DL Bellevue West | 2024 State NE . Lawson is expected to be the DL anchor at defensive tackle for Bellevue West. Lawson has great DT size at 6’3″ and 290 lbs, with lots of power in his lower body. Chris can clog up inside run lanes and is awfully tough to move off of his anchor when he decides he’s not going anywhere. He has strong hands that he can use to swat away blockers. There still isn’t a ton of tape of Lawson, but with what I’ve seen and how Bellevue West can pump out talent, I won’t be surprised if he has a monster senior year.
