Another couple handfuls of dual-sport standouts garnered honorable mention recognition, including a few juniors and underclassmen who could be particularly interesting to watch next year and beyond.
Kylan Billiot Kylan Billiot 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Terrebonne | 2024 State LA — 6-4, 185 WR — Terrebonne (2024)
The long, athletic guard earned all-district honors and all-state honorable mention for a junior campaign with averages of 14 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals per game. Billiot holds a basketball offer from hometown Nicholls State and a growing list of football offers that includes Memphis, Louisiana Tech, Troy, Tulane, Arkansas State, Southern Miss, Grambling State and FIU as a raw wide receiver with potentially one of the highest ceilings in the class at the position.

The Wildcats’ undersized, but shifty pass-catcher continued putting together an impressively well-rounded resume this winter with an all-state honorable-mention basketball season to go with his all-state honorable-mention honors for football — and track accolades still joining the list as the outdoor season winds down.

The explosive young athlete was a standout for his Patriots in both sports as a freshman and nearly earned basketball all-state second-team honors with his 22-point, eight-rebound season averages. Carter has the early look of one of the stars in his class to watch for potential college opportunities in both sports.

The long, versatile wing has been a standout for his Blazers in both sports throughout his high school career and continues developing into a bigger leader each year. Garrick entered the new calendar year with Tulane leading a few other early offers and has added a string of ULM, Arkansas State, Northwestern State and Troy in recent weeks.

The Wildcats’ sophomore has been on the Prep Hoops Louisiana rankings radar, now as one of the top handful in the latest update, during a season in which he garnered all-district honors and all-state honorable mention recognition. His quickness, leap and ball skills have translated into some intriguing flashes as a pass-catcher on the football field where he should be worth keeping an eye on this fall.

The Patriots’ underrated standout has become a popular name this spring for Prep Redzone Louisiana after junior film study and through the 7-on-7 season, and he garnered some accolades this month for his basketball performance as well as a leader for a program that reached made a somewhat rare quarterfinal appearance and played top-seeded and reigning-champion Wossman to within nine points in Monroe.
