Zackariah Simmons Zackariah Simmons 5’10” | 170 lbs | RB Central | 2024 State AL is an explosive back and Central has benefited greatly with him rushing out of their backfield. Simmons has outstanding patience and a terrific burst paired with it- play after play, he patiently waits for his blocks to get set up and once he’s ready, he hits the hole lightning quick. In the open field Simmons excels- his breakaway speed and make you miss abilities set him up for massive gains every time he touches the ball. This offseason, some collegiate attention has deservedly been heading his way- Simmons has received offers from Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State, and Alabama State! Keep an eye on him this fall, Central is loaded with talent and their offense is going to be one to watch with Simmons in the backfield.
Derrick Butler Derrick Butler 6’0″ | 190 lbs | RB Davidson | 2024 State AL has been a huge factor of Davidsons offense the last two years- Butler had a breakout sophomore season that featured him making play after play for his team all year long. On the season, Butler recorded 184 carries for 1338 yards and 16 touchdowns, with an additional 12 catches for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns as well. Butler has some seriously impressive speed and elusiveness, constantly on tape you can find him making defenders look silly when he’s on the run- his quick feet and sharp cuts make him a deadly weapon for defenses to face. After a dominant junior season, some collegiate attention has headed Butler’s way-Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Marshall and more have sent offers recently!
Dalyn Upshaw Dalyn Upshaw 6’0″ | 180 lbs | WR Central | 2025 State AL had a huge year last fall that really put him on the map- as a sophomore he dominated for Central all throughout the season. In an offense packed with playmakers, Upshaw still had a very productive season, posting up 30 receptions for 442 yards and 3 touchdowns. Upshaw is a physical WR that really has the ability to create after the catch in a huge way- he has the speed and athleticism to take short routes the distance, while also being able to create big gains on passes downfield as well. With his current skill set it’ll be exciting to see his play develop more and more as he gets more looks in their offense this fall- keep an eye out on that. Recently, Upshaw has started receiving some attention from the next level- Texas and Auburn have sent offers his way!
Elijah Hall is a do-it-all player for Booker T. Washington- his impact on the field is massive in all three phases as a passer, rusher, return man, and a lockdown defensive back. Hall had an unbelievable junior season last fall- in total, he posted up 1767 yards and 22 touchdowns through the air, 1839 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns on the ground, and 8 interceptions with 56 total tackles (7 for loss) in the secondary. Hall is a special kind of athlete, his speed and acceleration, vision, ability to adjust, and overall toughness and physicality set him apart from everyone else on the field. No matter where you play him he’s going to make a ton of game breaking plays- which is exactly why he’s been gaining the attention he has from the next level. Hall has recently received offers from South Carolina, Indiana, Appalachian State, and more!
