Jiquavious “Quavo” Marshall – Westside
One of the hottest prospects right now in Macon and the Middle Georgia area, Marshall is a long, athletic do-it-all athlete with plenty of speed. At 6-foot-5 and 185-pounds, Marshall is an impressive wide receiver/defensive back who has reeled in offers recently from Michigan and Nebraska. He’s a hard worker dedicated to perfecting his craft. Whether he’s catching passes or defending other receivers, Marshall is a true playmaker that college coaches are offering left and right. On offense, the big-play wideout showed off his speed and reliable hands on a weekly basis, catching 35 passes for 548 yards and six touchdowns. He’s a vertical threat and has no problem laying out to catch a big pass down the field. As a defender, the Middle Georgia standout made 31 tackles, two INTs and broke up seven more passes. Look for his stock to continue to rise over the next several months heading into thee 2023 season this fall.
Jackson Hancock – Sequoyah
There’s a new name to know about in Cherokee County, and it’s the do-it-all athlete out of Sequoyah. A tremendous athlete who can play plays from anywhere eon the field, Hancock was a consistent playmaker on both offense, defense, and special teams last year. The 6-foot-1 180-pounder flashes on a consistent basis and showed impressive ball skills all season long. As a junior last season, Hancock rushed 114 times on offense for just under 600 yards and seven touchdowns. He was a reliable option out of the backfield in the passing game as well, catching 18 passes for 315 yards and two more scores. Defensively, the outstanding safety was a big-time run defender who takes great angles to the ball-carrier. He ended the season with 49 tackles, but his ability to create turnovers is what makes him now an SEC-caliber prospect. He forced four fumbles on the season, showing the ability to hit and bring a physical presence. On special teams, Hancock returned 19 kicks for 570 yards and took two back for touchdowns. He was a guy who never wanted to leave the field last year, and his stock is about to take off. He earned a big offer from Missouri over the weekend, and it won’t be his last.
Kemari Nix – Kell
An under the radar athlete from Cobb County who might be in the beginning of seeing his recruitment take off, Nix was a dual-threat quarterback at Sprayberry who will play at Kell next season. An explosive runner with plenty of speed, Nix will bee able to help the Longhorns next year on both sides of the ball. He won’t play quarterback at Kell, but his athleticism and ball skills will be on full display. On offense, Nix can play running back or wide receiver due to his quickness, burst, agility, and overall playmaking ability. At 6-foot-1 195-pounds, he has easy D1 size with plenty of length. He has a great frame for a future D1 defensive back with strong instincts and the ability to make a big tackle against the run. His natural ball skills make him a weapon in the secondary and someone who can create turnovers. He’ll be playing on an extremely talented Longhorn defense next fall, but expect him to make lots of plays no matter where he’s lined up. He earned a big offer from South Carolina over the weekend, and he could see more come is way sooner than later. At quarterback for Sprayberry last year, Nix threw for 1,408 passing yards and rushed for another 1,022 yards while accounting for 34 total touchdowns.
