As one class graduates, the next senior class becomes the primary recruiting target from college programs. The class of 2024 has showcased outstanding talent among its ranks, with players who have proven themselves as legitimate college prospects capable of playing at the highest level.
This article will briefly examine six running backs from the 2024 class who should be added to recruiting boards, especially for the in-state programs.
Ramirez is an exciting player with outstanding accelerations and breakaway speed. He has excellent vision and explosive cuts, allowing him to navigate through the box and reach the second level. He does a fantastic job following his blockers while using his formidable physicality to break tackles and gain yards after contact. Ramirez completed his junior season as a state champion and Colorado’s leading rusher with 2,124 yards and 30 touchdowns, making him a must-know player.
Griffin is a talented player who finished last season as the second-leading rusher in the state with 2,061 yards. His ability to run between the tackles using his explosive acceleration and shifty jump cuts makes him a dangerous ball carrier who becomes a defense’s nightmare once in space. His overall speed makes him a legitimate candidate for a program in need of a return man on special teams. Griffin’s skills and work ethic make him a standout running back with a high ceiling.

Price is a new radar pop-up with significant upside as a college prospect. His size makes him an instant standout, but his powerful running style turns him into a spotlight-stealer whenever he is on the field. He has impressive strength and the willingness to keep his legs moving upon contact, making it difficult for defenders to bring him down. Price is an outstanding player who is on pace to be a top-tier running back recruit.
Medina is an elusive runner with the intangibles needed to become a sought-after recruit. He is patient enough to let his blocks set up before exploding through the slightest gap in the defense and gaining a large chunk of yardage using his acceleration and speed. He uses his excellent power and strength to run through tackles and gain yards after contact. His ability to see the field clearly and utilize his cutback lanes to exploit poor pursuit techniques by the defense is noteworthy. Medina possesses the physicality needed to be a formidable blocker, adding to the long list of reasons why he should be on the recruiting radar.

Carson is an underrated athlete with serious potential to be a talented college player. He is a raw player with impressive speed and athleticism, making him dangerous in the open field. His athletic versatility makes him a prime candidate for a special teams player as a returner, gunner, or cornerback on punt return. Carson is a radar low-flyer who could easily become a steal for an in-state program.
