McMillian’s a top-10 RB in Prep Redzone’s 2024 CA rankings. He took on an every-down role with the season-long injury to RB Nico Mosley and continued to show his elite combination of size, physicality, and athleticism rushing for over 1,200 yards and 12 TDs on 187 carries. He’s a bruising runner that moves with balance and powerful downhill momentum. He doubles as an active OLB that’s extremely disruptive off the edge. McMillian’s offer list includes Arizona, Washington, Colorado, and multiple MW schools. He’s a strong candidate to add more P-5 offers in the fall.
Walsh is a strong, physical athlete at RB that recorded 1,300 rushing yards and 18 total TDs as a junior. His biggest game of the season came against Lincoln in the Open-Division championship rushing 15 times for over 200 yards and 2 TDs including a 73-yarder on the first play of the game. He’s patient between the tackles and shows vision finding space at the second level. He possesses a wrestler’s frame and skillset, playing with consistent leverage and explosive twitch. Walsh should see plenty of opportunities to put together a strong senior film as the top rushing option for the most talented offensive team in San Diego.
Kevin Allen Kevin Allen 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Helix | 2024 State CA III
Kevin Allen Kevin Allen 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Helix | 2024 State CA III
Allen was Helix’s most productive playmaker last season totaling over 1,700 all-purpose yards and 19 TDs. He’s a speedy athlete with obvious burst and get-up on film. He’s balanced through contact and flashes strong receiving skills out of the backfield. He’s a track athlete in the offseason and started to get more time at DB later on in his junior season. Allen’s an under-the-radar athlete that should attract interest with his natural speed and ability.
Chris Bausch
Chris Bausch
Bausch was San Diego’s leading rusher among juniors last season with over 1,500 yards and 16 TDs on 230 carries. He’s a shifty, elusive back that possesses useful change-of-direction and overall fluidity as a runner. He’s a crafty ball-carrier in tight quarters and shows creativity setting up defenders at the second/third levels. Bausch figures to be one of the top rushing producers in San Diego again this season.
Pressley’s a smaller back at 5’8/170 with twitchy speed and mobility. He accelerates with noticeable burst and shows lateral agility cutting without loss of speed. He can get the edge on outside runs and possesses a second gear to break off explosive plays. Pressley recorded 900 yards and 7 TDs on 142 carries as a junior.
Andrew Maes
Andrew Maes
Maes is a versatile back that made plays in variety of roles for LCC. He’s a determined north-south runner that fights through contact and explodes downhill through narrow lanes. He’s a skilled receiving threat and a physical, high-effort pass blocker. Maes is one of the top RBs in North County heading into next season.
Highlights
Guzman’s a smaller, more nimble back at 5’7/165 with useful lateral agility and contact balance. His frame presents a minimal tackling target in space and can change direction fluidly with low center-of-gravity. He shows natural hands catching out of the backfield and utilizes his blockers in space well. He totaled 1,094 yards and 7 TDs as a junior. Guzman’s size might ultimately limit his ceiling but his skills and athleticism out of the backfield are worth a look at the next level.
