There were 5 quarterbacks who caught my attention throughout the camp. Ray Isaac is one of the top Quarterback Coaches in the state and in the South Atlantic Region.
Isaiah Quick Isaiah Quick 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB High Point Christian Academy | 2024 NC – 6’2″ 180 (No. 31 QB, Watchlist), High Point Christian Academy. Isaiah displayed a smooth throwing motion on his throws while participating in the drills. He displayed good arm strength and consistent accuracy on throws to receivers. The 2024 prospect will continue to improve his skillset with offseason training.
Carter Merck Carter Merck 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Wakefield | 2025 State NC – 6’0″ 160 (No. 7 QB, No. 41 Overall), Wakefield HS. Carter’s off-season training has been rewarding and was on display throughout the camp. He displayed a smooth throwing motion with a quick release on his throws. He displayed good velocity on throws that were on target to receivers, while moving. The 2025 prospect is expected to produce solid stats during the upcoming season.
Jonathan Montague Jr. – 6’1″ 205 (No. 6 QB, No. 32 Overall), Clayton HS. Jonathan has improved on his accuracy since the season ended. His throwing motion is smooth and looks effortless on his medium and deep throws to receivers. He displayed follow-through on his throws which were on target. Jonathan was clearly the top and most impressive QB in the camp. He has bulked up from strength training. The 2024 prospect is expected to produce big stats during the upcoming season. The recruiting interest is expected to pick up for one of the top dual-threat QB’s before the upcoming season.
Kavon Simmons Kavon Simmons 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB Wake Forest | 2025 State NC – 6’1″ 155 (No. 6 QB, No. 40 Overall), Wake Forest HS. Kavon has been training hard during the offseason and the results were on display throughout the camp. He displayed a good throwing motion with a quick release on his throws. He displayed good arm strength on medium and deep throws to receivers. Kavon challenged Montague for the top QB spot throughout the camp. The 2025 prospect is expected to have a big season and recruiting is expected to pick up for him.
Wyatt Cannon Wyatt Cannon 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Leesville Road | 2024 State NC – 6’0″ 185, Leesville Road HS. Wyatt had two productive seasons while playing in South Carolina. He returned to North Carolina to finish his high school career. Wyatt displayed a good throwing motion along with follow-through on his throws throughout the camp. He displayed good arm strength on the medium range throws to receivers. The 2024 prospect is expected to lead the offensive unit during the upcoming season.
