The ability to play multiple positions will get players on the field faster. That is exactly what Trey Stephens Trey Stephens 6'1" | 200 lbs | ATH Merillville | 2024 State IN does. Stephens makes an impact at both running back and linebacker. While his 2022 season was limited to only one game, he has shown enough to give fans plenty of optimism for what is to come in 2023. On the offensive side of the ball, he keeps the offense moving. As a sophomore, Stephens carried 30 times for 287 yards with average of just under ten yards-per-carry. He ran for a pair of touchdowns in 2021. He brings intensity to the defensive side of the ball. As a sophomore, Stephens recorded 95 tackles with ten tackles-for-loss. He added one sack and a pair of fumble recoveries to go along with five passes defensed.
Troy Marshall Troy Marshall 5'8" | 175 lbs | ATH Portage | 2024 State IN , 5’8, 175 pounds, Portage
Similar to Stephens, Portage’s Troy Marshall Troy Marshall 5'8" | 175 lbs | ATH Portage | 2024 State IN excels at both running back and linebacker. Marshall only played in two games a season ago, however, he has put a lot on film. At running back, he can get downhill and pick up tough yardage up the middle. He does well picking up small chunks of yards that help keep the offense moving and wear down the opposing defense. Marshall can get the job done on outside runs as well. He can get to the edge and create big plays on the perimeter. Expect to see Marshall enjoy a big senior campaign on both sides of the ball.
John Nabors John Nabors 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Covenant Christian | 2024 State IN , 5’10, 185 pounds, Covenant Christian
John Nabors John Nabors 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Covenant Christian | 2024 State IN is impactful in all three phases for Covenant Christian. He is an outstanding running back and outside linebacker, but he is also a tremendous asset on special teams. Nabors plays fast on defense, and he showcases the ability to chase down plays. Offensively, he is a versatile prospect who can frustrate defenses and get them tired quickly. He is good at outside runs and excellent in the open field. Nabors can also be effective as a receiver. Last year, Nabors carried the ball 88 times for nearly 700 yards and an average of close to eight yards-per-carry. He reeled in 19 receptions for 244 yards. Nabors totaled 14 touchdowns last season: 11 rushing and three receiving. On the other side of the ball, he posted 76 tackles with 11.5 tackles-for-loss. Nabors notched two-and-a-half sacks last season while forcing three fumbles and recovering one.
Eli Edwards Eli Edwards 6'4" | 215 lbs | ATH Eastern | 2024 State IN , 6’4, 215 pounds, Eastern
Eli Edwards Eli Edwards 6'4" | 215 lbs | ATH Eastern | 2024 State IN is a mobile quarterback that is capable of creating plays and giving his team a spark. The Eastern Starting QB is capable of finding ways to make plays even when it seems as though the play has no chance. He can extend plays and navigate the pocket, giving receivers more time to get open. Edwards can also contribute on the defensive side of the ball. A season ago, he completed 151/215 passes for 2,072 yards. He tossed 25 touchdowns and only eight interceptions. Edwards ran for 425 yards on 39 carries with a quartet of touchdowns. On the defensive side, he constantly finds ways to get to the ball. Edwards recorded 18 tackles-for-loss and ten-and-a-half sacks as well as nine quarterback hurries. He defended against one pass, recovered three fumbles and forced three fumbles.
Wyatt Woodall Wyatt Woodall 6'0" | 220 lbs | ATH Southmont | 2024 State IN , 6’0, 215 pounds, Southmont
Wyatt Woodall Wyatt Woodall 6'0" | 220 lbs | ATH Southmont | 2024 State IN plies his trade at both running back and linebacker. He showcases physicality and intensity on both sides of the ball. At linebacker, Woodall is aggressive and attacks downhill. He does an outstanding job of putting his foot in the ground and driving on the play. He routinely gets into the backfield and makes plays. At running back, he embraces the contact. He does a nice job of bouncing off defenders and picking up yards after the first contact is made. In 2022, he ran 190 times for 950 rushing yards and a dozen touchdowns. He ran for triple digit rushing totals in four games this past season. Woodall accumulated 122 receiving yards and a pair of touchdown catches. At linebacker, Woodall compiled 106 tackles to go along with 12 tackles-for-loss. He added two sacks and one quarterback hurry to his stat line.
