2022 Season Result: 4A State Semi-Final
Review:
The Sandpoint Bulldogs are one of the premier programs in the 4A ranks. Coming off two highly successful seasons where they made it to the state championship game and a state semi-final. The Bulldogs are right up there with the top programs in the state every year and dont look like they are going anywhere at all. With three of their loses coming against an out of state school along with two 5A programs this team showed it was not scared to play anyone. With one of the best quarterbacks in the state the Bulldogs were able to put up huge scoring totals all season long. The senior signal caller is going to go down as one of the most decorated in school history but he had a lot of help from his young supporting cast that has a junior running back who constantly made bigs plays and was able to keep them balanced on offense coupled with some star wide receivers one who is going to be returning next year for the Bulldogs. Where they take the biggest hit is up front with one of the best offensive lines no matter what classification that you play in. Lead by a group of tough seniors who not only ground people down in the run game but kept their quarterback pretty clean all season. On defense the Bulldogs were a crazy bunch of guys who were able to completely shut down opposing offenses. With a tough defensive line that made teams really have to work to open holes to go along with a crew of linebackers that might be second to none in the entire state. This Bulldog defense showed up every night to play against the best and they did not disappoint. With a back end that made opportunistic plays and hung around with some of the best in the state they showed their ability to make as much as a difference as anyone else. This group will be remembers as one of the best to ever do it for the Bulldogs and the ones behind them will be looking to continue the legacy the seniors are leaving.
